Cincinnati Bengals
QB, Joe Burrow – LSU
This is an easy pick to get behind as the Bengals need a franchise quarterback to lead them into a new era and Burrow has the ability to be that player. Cincinnati could find itself back in the playoffs quickly with some solid moves around this pick.

Washington Redskins
DE, Chase Young – Ohio State
I thought about going offensive tackle here because it is a huge need with a young quarterback leading Washington, but that thought lasted about a half of a second. Chase Young is a generational talent and Ron Rivera’s defense will follow his lead into the future.

Detroit Lions
DL, Derrick Brown – Auburn
It’s one of the two biggest needs for the Lions, so why not just go with the biggest player for the pick? Derrick Brown has game wrecking ability in the center of a defense and Detroit has to get stronger at the point of attack.

LB, Isaiah Simmons – Clemson
I just couldn’t bring myself to go offensive line here when the highest rated player on our war board is still available. Isaiah Simmons profiles as an absolute demon on defense as a professional and the fans in New York would be in for a show with this selection.

Miami Dolphins
QB, Tua Tagovailoa – Alabama
Miami needs a quarterback and Tua scores out well enough that I’m comfortable with him going this high in the draft. It’s a major need, which drives the idea of a slight reach for a passer.

Los Angeles Chargers
QB, Justin Herbert – Oregon
I’m a little less comfortable with this reach but the Chargers probably need a passer even more than the Dolphins do right now, so with that in mind the pick becomes Herbert. Justin has enough ability to become a solid starting quarterback in the NFL but the Mike Glennon floor is a bit scary.

Carolina Panthers
CB, Jeffrey Okudah – Ohio State
Team need meets the top rated player at the position. Okudah didn’t test as well as what some expected but the video shows a potential shut down corner with more than adequate athleticism to succeed as a pro.

OT, Andrew Thomas – Georgia
The Cardinals need to invest on the offensive line to protect franchise quarterback Kyler Murray. Andrew Thomas is our top rated tackle and profiles as an immediate starter at the next level.

Jacksonville Jaguars
CB, C.J Henderson – Florida
Jacksonville should look to rebuild part of it’s defense early in this draft and a player like Henderson goes a long way towards achieving that goal. C.J. is one of my favorite players in this draft and put in the right situation the sky is the limit for Henderson’s career.

OT Tristan Wirfs Iowa
If Baker Mayfield is ever going to come close to his rookie year performance again the Browns have to go after offensive line early in this draft. Wirfs has the ability to become a long term starting left tackle in the NFL.

New York Jets
WR, CeeDee – Lamb Oklahoma
The Jets need help on the offensive line but giving Sam Darnold a once in a decade weapon at receiver also goes a long way towards accelerating his learning curve. CeeDee’s game should transition fluidly to the NFL and whenever Adam Gase is fired and New York has an actual head coach, Lamb should come out as the best receiver in this class.

Las Vegas Raiders
LB, Patrick Queen – LSU
The Raiders need a linebacker so getting our top rated player at the position in this draft makes a lot of sense. This could have been a pick at receiver, but there are still options available for Vegas later in the passing game. This was the right spot in this mock to get the linebacker.

San Francisco 49ers
WR, Jerry Jeudy – Alabama
The 49ers would like to get starting quarterback Jimmy G a reliable weapon to move the chains with. Having that sound running game meshed with Jeudy coming off of play-action is a matching that I really like for this draft.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
OT, Mekhi Becton – Louisville
When your quarterback is closer to getting his AARP card than he is his first drink at the bar, you better do everything you can to protect him. Becton can step in and help out early on with the ability to play in multiple roles and morph into a starter sooner rather than later.

Denver Broncos
WR, Henry Ruggs III – Alabama
The Broncos need to get a true threat to burn down the field and Ruggs just happens to be available. Drew Lock would love to have a receiver that can get behind defensive backs and run under the long ball.

Atlanta Falcons
DL, Javon Kinlaw – South Carolina
Atlanta needs to get a player on the defensive line that offensive game planners fear. Kinlaw has a profile that suggests he can be a starter from week one in his rookie year.
