I’m going back to the well one more time on one side…

Chiefs vs. Who the fuck knows.. the NFC is so inconsistent… I want to say there is a team that stands out, but I can’t find one. I wouldn’t place a $10 bet on a single team.

At the end of the day, I am most convinced that who ever wins the AFC Championship game will be the next Super Bowl winner.

Question, do waiver bids have to be in round increments of 1000 or did I just make that up in my head?

  4. Campbell Administrator Manager Commissioner

Have to be $1000 or more to be a qualifying bid.

You can tip it up any way you want, so long as you start out at a G.

    Hey all,

Question, if you cut someone with a 2 or 3 year contract, I understand you will take a cap hit but do you get to designate someone else for that 2 or 3 year contract?

    Thanks

There was a stat correction that resulted in a tie and a win by the other team because of tiebreakers. Were we supposed to break ties during the regular season? I don't think we ever did that.

I can't remember if it's been asked or not, but I didn't see it in the rules sheet. If I use an extension on a player who has years remaining on their contract does the extension take the place of the original or add on? For example, Lamar has 2 years left on his deal. If I were to use a 3 year extension on him is his new contract 3 years long or 5 years long?

I know someone asked this previously but I'm not sure which thread it is in...

Whatever deal you would sign a player two becomes their new deal, meaning in this scenario Lamar would now have a new 3 year deal instead of having two remaining years on his original 3 year deal.

Basically, any new contract replaces the old contract. It does not add years onto the existing one.

Darn, no lifetime contract for JJeff lol.

You can extend him every time he gets to zero remaining years, so you could technically have him signed for life. lol

I might have missed it here but what happens if a player retires? And is there a difference if they retire mid contract or before they even see a game on a new one with 0 years? We can just use Aaron Rodgers as an example as that one is an option. I assume if I tagged him and he dipped in the offseason it's just off the books and if I extend him it's off the books but an extension wasted?

  18. Campbell Administrator Manager Commissioner

    Correct.

There is no way to retroactively bring players back to your roster to extend them after they have been released, and unused extensions do not carry over, so it cannot be recovered and used for the following season.

The extension/tag also cannot be reclaimed and placed on another player that is still under contract.

The contract is dissolved, and the player is removed from the roster only when the manager requests it, considering there is the possibility of the player changing his mind and returning to the league.
