Rob, can you define 'real improvement' here?

  2. bigrobo876 Franchise Player Bears

    7 to 9 wins.

A scoring offense and defense that is more in line with the teams yardage rankings.

An improvement in Offensive and Defensive rankings from middle of the pack.

A vast improvement in points off of turnovers and points given off of turnovers.

Who is going to be getting those turnovers.....our awesome secondary that Pace put together?

Expecting a team to lose when they are talent deficient isn't negativity. It's reality.

I'd comment on the rest of what you typed but honestly it would be more productive to print it out and wipe my ass with it.

It's not only about causing more turnovers. It's giving it away less.

I think the secondary could have 4 new starters. Will they make for an elite secondary? Hell no. Could they be a big improvement over last season? The bar has been set pretty low. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility.

Thank you for the clarification Rob :)

    Your welcome.

I do one thing for sure I need another beer, and although I'm not as cultured as some of you, a constant IV drip of Crown Royal would suffice to ease this pain.

Can you show me even one person who is 'more cultured' than you on this board tuna?

Puhleeze ... it just ain't so.

When it comes to alcohol pretty much everybody, BWW, Ev, Mongo, Dline, Blang, patg, Bearman. Hell I don't even remember what Aggie drinks but pretty sure he alcohol cultured too. I drink what I can afford everyweek and that's Heineken and Crown Royal that's not cultured that's laughable.

Ahh.. I'm just an alcoholic with good taste buds. Those will fail just as surely as my liver will. The joints are going, the brain is gone.

I am a beer guy. If I go bourbon, it's bozo's circus. It's just too tasty and too strong. I stick with beer now after some face to face visits with Mr. Potty.

Surly, Pipeworks, and Three Floyds are the best. Summer time I have a motto - keep it under 5 to stay alive. Lots of good session pale ales and session IPA's out there. The only problem is I can drink like 20 of these damn things and still function quite well.

But there ain't a damn thing wrong with a cold Heineken or a shot of Crown.

While the flattery of you lumping me into such an esteemed group of gentlemen is appreciated (indeed I am quite "cultured" in many areas of life) at this point in time I abstain from drink, inconceivable as that may be for most of you. But when I was drinking, my tastes were much more aligned with yours Tuna (far from cultured)... Heinekin and Jack Daniel's all the way.

I couldn't stop laughing when I read this blang. "While the flattery of you lumping me into such an esteemed group of gentlemen is appreciated" is one of the finest pieces of irony ever writ in these hallowed boards.

You guys always make me happy to be a Bears fan.

My bad blang and I agree with baby fan and her sentiments, but thinking that no one would of said that ever, that is until now. It's been a while since we had those alcohol discussions and they say the memory is the 2nd thing to go and please don't ask who "they" actually said that, or exactly whats the first thing to go for that matter either. *SCRATCH*

Did I tell you guys about this pumpkin spiced beer I had from a local brewery out here. It was fanfuckingtastic. Highly recommend. I'm not usually a fan of fruit flavors in my beer but it was excellent.

I have been hitting the cider (it's not beer, so apples are fine). I had one from Seattle Cider Company called Oaked Maple and that oak was so strong reminded me of Jack. 9.5 alcohol too, great stuff.

Vvarder.....on a scale of 1-10 for gayness I rate your entire post as Richard Simmons.

I've spent the last week and a half with vertigo so bad I couldn't move. Just got back to reading yesterday. I have a feeling I'll be taking a break from booze for the foreseeable future. ... Or it'll be so nice to be moving again I'll be ecstatic to have one. 50-50.

I don't hold anyone's choice of drink against them. You like what you like. Tuna's just as welcome to laugh at someone like me who buys $5 bottles of beer as I am him, and, shit, we're both right. I'd be more than happy to crack open a Heineken in good company, if the opportunity should ever arise, gents. Cheers.

I think my trade off is that I don't drink much. When you only have one or two beers a week, an oatmeal Stout is just fine. But if I were drinking a handful a night, I'd be regularly searching cheaper/lighter fare, and rightly so. Kona Big Wave is my go to for social or high volume situations.

A buddy bought me a bottle of Lagavulin a couple weeks ago, and I am happy to put aside a beer for that. I'm not a liquor guy at all, so if I'm drinking anything of the sort, I generally need to spend a few bucks on the good stuff. And that shit is good.

But, for now, it's ibuprofen and meclazine. Fuck.

Can I pick you up a Zima while I'm out, VV?

I got you covered dline as long as I can substitute Zima with some refreshing Bartles & Jaymes

All I have to say to this is ...

    Coors Light.

    Have at me gentlemen ...

If my memory serves me correctly it was:

    Corona.
    Have at me gentleman

there I fixed it for you.
