Nobody wants to be around me during Browns games...this is what happens to my face and demeanor, pretty much every Sunday by about 1:45 PM EST:

BTW- speaking of that level of anger. I just realized I lost on my Redskins +7 bet last night!!! WTH was that? Geezus, I went to bed after the FG...Did you guys see how that ended? As a gambler, that's one of the worst beats I've ever taken. What a perfect capper to the weekend..lol! oh boy.

Yes, the Jets had the ball and kept trying to lateral since it was the last play, fumbled, it was picked up by Justin Houston for a TD to end the game...

You mean Redskins, but yeah. That's unbelievable...

Rough weekend. I had Derek Carr and Dalvin Cook on my main fantasy team, and had the pleasure of going against a guy that had Andy Dalton, AJ Green AND the Bengals D....

Tbh, I'm nearly already on Browns Vacation again. Life's too short to suffer bad football.

Week 4, I didn't expect us to be competitive. I checked out like most of the fans at the stadium - actually texted my Bengals friends when they went up 14-0 a "congratulations on the win" and took a nap during half-time. Woke up during the third quarter when my little girl did, ran around the house with the misery on in the background but not having to immerse myself in it. Watching Week 4 like:

Yeah, I understand....I'm worried Browns fans are just going to give up. I mean you know, the real Browns fans.

There's nobody on this earth more passionate about Cleveland Browns football than I am. I'm as "die hard" as it comes. This franchise has actually figured out a way to sour my enthusiasm....Words can't describe how consistently terrible this team has to play, in order to get me to walk away. All my friends have been done with this shitshow for years. I'm the ONLY one left in my group, that still gives a shit about the orange and brown.

For 18 years, I carried DirecTV and Sunday Ticket, specifically so I would be guaranteed every game, even though I live in the Browns TV market. That's how much I cared. I was willing to spend $300 dollars a year, just so I won't miss out on maybe 2 games a year....But the Browns disappoint their fans, or what's left of 'em, like it's their fuckin job...

I honestly don't know...I'm thinking about doing some more fishing. Or maybe I'll get a new motorcycle. Sunday was way to beautiful for me to let this debacle ruin it...

Honestly SAS. Most NFL teams that have a bad week, will come back the next week with a vengeance and "surprise" everybody. Not the Browns though. We have taken shitty football to a new level of consistency...We just reaffirm everyone's opinion that we suck, week after week after week.

I'm just sayin...I know all you guys are die hard Browns fans...But If this team can actually play piss poor enough to drive a crazy fan like ME away. There's not much hope...I would have never believed it possible. I haven't missed a Browns game since 1978, but I know that streak is in jeopardy now. :holy:

There are certain things I just can't change. Obviously I'll be hoping these guys can get things turned around this week against the Jets. From what I've read, NY tried like hell to give the game away last week to the Jags, but they just wouldn't take it. So this should be an interesting match-up of "team strengths". Nobody gives it away like us damnit!...j.k.

still kind of in shock over the 0-4 start this year...I fell into the hype about all the "improvements" we've made....

That's gotta be the most discouraging part in all of this. We sat through a brutal 2016 while The Plan was enacted. The wins didn't come, but we knew it was for the betterment of the team and building for the future.

Heading into 2017, I feel like there was generally positive vibes from almost everywhere regarding the Browns. Yes, most of the homers here thought much higher win totals than the mainstream folks, but our line was 4.5 wins on the season and most folks has us around that number - which looks like a pretty serious leap sitting here heading into Week 5. The only winnable games left on the schedule look to be this week against the Jets (FTR, I'm not taking the Browns in that one) and the Chargers in December.

It's not that they're losing close games or are a play or two away from a win - things you can point to youth or a busted assignment or even bad luck (think the penalties and bad fumble calls early in 2016) that are killing the team. Outside of the Steelers game, the Browns have played atrocious football. They've been outscored 45-86 with 28 of our points coming in garbage time against two previously winless team. The only reason Cincinnati didn't hang 50+ on us is because Marvin Lewis likes and respects Hue Jackson.

So that's where we are. The team, already with a very slim margin of error and not built yet to overcome deficits and injuries, is regressing by the week. The surprise addition to the QB room, a widely-regarded "project" who was surprisingly named the starter is regressing by the week. The defense is regressing by the week, allowing two struggling passers to throw for 120.0 and 146.0 QB ratings. So where do we go from here?

    1. Assuming Hue hasn't lost the team, they're going to have to - or should - re-evaluate everything they've tried in their first four games. There are four glaringly bad areas of the team that a fundamental shift in approach can change and, hopefully, improve:

2a. Run. The. Football. Hue Jackson hates the running game. I can safely say that with 100% confidence and 100% accuracy. Deshaun Watson, a rookie starter, is getting 31 carries out of his running backs per game. The Browns are averaging 15 carries out of their running backs per game. The front office invested heavily in the offensive line, adding run-block specialist Kevin Zeitler and J.C. Tretter, as well as locking up Joel Bitonio long-term. Crowell is ineffective and has admitted he's thinking about his contract "all the time". Fine, give the ball to Duke Johnson Jr. and Matt Dayes and see how it plays out. Bring back George Atkinson III (who's stashed currently on Kansas City's practice squad). Script running plays often and early in the game plan and refuse to go away from it when you fall behind by more than one score.

2b. Take the football out of your quarterback's hands. This goes hand-in-hand with running the football (hence 2A and 2B). We can disagree on Kizer's ability to ascend, but what's not up for debate is how poorly he's currently performing. He's forcing. He looks lost. He's being asked to do too much with too little, perhaps. Any way you spin it, he's costing the team games with his league-worst play. In perfect 20/20 hindsight, yes, he should never have started this season, save for injury. Hue is stubbornly refusing to put the toothpaste back in the tube, so how do you improve? Take the ball out of his hands. I joked early, but short, rhythm passes to establish some offensive consistency after forcing the run can't hurt at this point.

    3. Find a way to pressure opposing quarterbacks. Browns are 25th in the NFL in sacks. I realize they don't have Myles Garrett, but you cannot hope to build a successful pass rush around one guy. Yes, returning him to the lineup should help everyone - and I still fully expect him to dominate when he returns - but opposing QBs have all day to throw, aren't under much duress, and are completing an NFL-worst 73.4% of their passes against us.

    4. Identify some playmakers. Someone is going to have to step up and make some plays. Personally, I think we have two extremely capable tight ends who need more looks in DeValve and Njoku. I think Duke Johnson Jr. has proven he can be reliable and dynamic with the football. Someone needs to step up offensively to give opposing teams someone to key on.

The problem with my suggestions is that the majority hinge on Hue Jackson changing his stripes and he's shown zero self-awareness and zero adaptability thus far in his coaching tenure with the Browns.

I've been hunting and fishing during football since 1995.

As much as I love football. I am finding it very easy to get out more often and not even bother with even checking to see if the browns even tried to make it to the game

It's not the talent. It's the coaching. Run. The. Ball.

This is the pitfall of having your head coach also be your offensive coordinator - there's no one to overrule him when he insists - to the determent of the team - on throwing the football with an awful quarterback and average-to-poor wide receivers.

"Clueless Hue" came out and said recently we're getting killed in the second quarter.

The Browns have received every possession in the first half through four games. The Browns have had 13 drives and have scored 7 total points. They've never trailed by more than a touchdown in any first quarter of games this year.

    -9 Blocked Punt
    2 Punt
    68 Touchdown [Run]
    -2 Punt
    24 Fumble [Kizer]
    49 Interception
    10 Punt
    4 Punt
    0 Punt
    2 Punt
    0 Missed Field Goal
    16 Punt

The defense is holding up well in the first quarter of games. The offense has put together 239 yards (18.4 yards-per-drive), two touchdowns, and three turnovers. More than half of our drives have been three-and-out.

Is it any wonder that the defense starts to sag in the second quarter? They've already carried the team, gotten zero help from the offense, and spent more time on the field. We haven't scored first quarter points since the 5:48 mark of Week 1.

Are you going to come out with anything new to say today or just stick with the same old show? Coach sucks, QB is terrible, Run the ball, rinse repeat...

He asked what we do from here.

You offer pathetic, tired excuses for the league's worst quarterback. I try to think of ways to move forward, addressing some of the key issues plaguing this team.

If you don't like it, don't read it. If you don't appreciate it, don't respond to it.

You keep your negativity to yourself and we'll be fine.
