Where Do We Go From Here?

Discussion in 'Cleveland Browns' started by TopDawg, Oct 2, 2017.

  1. Pro Bowl QB?

  2. Lyman "Franchise Asshole" Browns Buckeyes

My point was: "Worst multi-game starter in Cleveland Browns history."

  4. Lyman "Franchise Asshole" Browns Buckeyes

    Go look it up!

  5. I did he played plenty

  6. Lyman "Franchise Asshole" Browns Buckeyes

If appearing in 7 games and starting only 1 of those 7 is "plenty", I might suggest you invest in a dictionary.

It started over one of the Browns WRs putting his foot in his mouth and declaring that the Browns have the best WRs in the NFL.

  8. He played plenty in 1 season...you can make your own judgement on his talent

Yeah. That makes just as much sense as your argument here...
lol! Wow. Some folks just can't see the blatantly obvious, however I think you can, but you are just stirring shit anyway, and you (unintentionally) have the biggest Cleveland troll in history riding your coattails. lol!. What do you really expect?.You're a fan of our main rival, and you are trying like hell to make Browns fans worry about our teams' decision to give up on Kizer after his epic disaster as our starter last season. Which is hilarious btw.....Are you old enough to remember the Mark Malone years in Pittsburgh? If not, look it up, and then realize Kizer was way worse than that....Nuff said.

When Mayfield flips the script on the AFCN, it's going to be extra sweet because of folks just like you. Browns fans have to take it from every direction......I can't wait till we knock your asses down a peg or two in the opener...GO BROWNS!!!

    :mic:
Go ahead wazoo. Ya can kinda tell football season is gettin closer around here, can't ya?

Lym… This isn't about your multi-game starter quote. Scroll back and see where this started. It's like changing the goal posts.

lmao... Mark Malone... I worked with the guy who drove into 3 rivers stadium trying to run Malone over... If you can remember that story.

I would beg to differ on Kizer being worse. Malone's first 3 years 50% completions 4 tds and 7 ints. At least Kizer made it on the field in his first year.

Well I confess, I didn't look up Malone's numbers, but the ones you posted would indicate that he was better than DK...lol! Except for completion percentage. Yeah, Kizer really excelled in that capacity...The only things I remember about Malone were the mustache, the fact we owned Pittsburgh in that era, and the sign that hung at Three Rivers that said; "NONE FOR THE THUMB TILL MALONE IS DONE"...:point: lol! I always loved that one...

Okay curiosity got the best of me, along with boredom, so I had to look up Mark Malone's numbers. They surprised me...I don't think Kizer will ever get to those lofty levels that Malone achieved. I feel confident in that....MM's career record including playoffs was 24-31....When Marino went to his only SB, it was Mark Malone's Steelers he beat in AFC Championship, which I remember now, but I had forgotten that... Played 8 years, had 10000+ yards passing, and a career QB rating of 61.9...

He was voted worst Steelers QB of all time, but what can I say? He's not as bad as our worst....So we got you guys on that!

Malone did have the longest TD reception in Steelers history for a while. 91 yards I believe it was.

    Follow me here, stopper.

How would you describe a QB that is selected to the Pro Bowl?

    a Wrangler?

    A real 'go getter'?

    a dang doodle?

I think the phrase just might be "Pro Bowl QB". Taylor was actually invited to consecutive Pro Bowls but turned down the second one. Im sure this will just turn into a Baker Mayfield, Jaemis Winston or Dalvin Cook discussion now.

He played a season. He was absolute shite regardless of circumstance. It was worse than any other QB in team history. We have no spend 3 pages bickering about semantics.

At least I let the Latin grammar go after 2 posts.

Second-worst starting QB rating in Cleveland Browns history.

Worst starting QB rating as a rookie in Cleveland Browns history.

0-15 as a starter, (tied) worst winning percentage by a Browns quarterback (excluding one game starters, obviously).

Not sure why this is so difficult for some folks to get through their heads?

Seriously, when you're firmly behind guys like Derek Anderson, Brady Quinn, Trent Dilfer, and Charlie Frye... you're not a good quarterback.

Quarterback play is about processing information quickly, and making good decisions, all under extreme pressure. If it was just about physicality and athleticism, Deshone Kizer would be one of the best QB's. The kid is a class act. I wish him the best, but I'm ecstatic that I never have to see him in a Browns uniform again.....DK once audibled to a QB sneak on 4th and goal from the 3, in a hostile environment, with the final seconds of the half ticking down and no timeouts remaining, all while staring right at 11 defenders stacked right up the middle in goal line defense....He played consistently all season like it was his job to kill drives. How many mind numbing decisions like that did we see from him all year??? It was absurd. I started seriously worrying about the possibility of us going 0-16 before we got to October last year... Watching him play was as demoralizing as anything I've ever seen in football. Ya just aren't gonna get Browns fans to worry about what he may or may not become someday, and that's all there is to it...

It has been amusing though, IMO...I don't mind the discussion as much as others seem to. At least it's football related. I mean, it is June...What do ya wanna talk about, the World Cup?

I feel like I can speak for all Browns fans when I say, we are excited about our current QB situation. More so than we have been for a long time... We have revamped the position completely, and with the exception of SAS and his Cody Kessler man-crush, none of the departing QB's will be missed.

lol! Sorry SAS...just kidding....I had to.

I keep forgetting about Mike Phipps. I was in the service during his time and didn't get to see him very often. Probably a good thing.
