I'm a Browns supporter, so I come on here to see what the fans are thinking, but damnit if you don't have to dodge meaningless numbers and regurgitated tweets like shrapnel, around here. Try to talk some sense, and you get "ignore button-ed" and slandered left and right. There are sensible Browns fans here. It's just hard to pick through the nonsense littered between their posts. I'm excited for the Browns, and optimistic about where they're headed. I hope it makes for wins, and some livelier, more open conversation around here.
Winning: Mayfield, Darnold, Jackson, Rosen, Allen Accuracy: Mayfield, Darnold, Rosen, Jackson, Allen Strong Arm: Allen, Mayfield, Rosen, Jackson (Darnold did not participate) Red Zone Efficiency: Mayfield, Jackson, Rosen, Darnold, Allen Hand Size: Allen, Rosen, t-Jackson, t-Mayfield, Darnold Medal Count First Place: Mayfield (3), Allen (2) Second Place: Darnold (2), Jackson (1), Mayfield (1), Rosen (2) Third Place: Rosen (3), Jackson (2), Mayfield (1) Weighted Results... Mayfield - 22 out of 25 Rosen - 15 out of 25 Jackson - 14 out of 25 Darnold* - 12 out of 20 Allen - 13 out of 25 *Darnold doesn't get knocked for not throwing - his arm is strong enough (his score based out of 4 buckets, not 5) Hmm... where did I see those QBs ranked exactly the same way? Spoiler: Spoiler Ahead @SAS
As a percentage: Mayfield - 88% Darnold - 75% Rosen - 60% Jackson - 56% Allen - 52% So... it'll come down to Mayfield and Darnold. #Shock
At the end of the day, I'm completely ecstatic if the Browns end up with Chubb or Barkley....It's really almost 50/50 with me. I think Barkley is the higher rated player in John Dorsey's eyes, and that's probably all that matters. After listening to John Dorsey's press conference today, I actually do believe there is a possibility we take Saquon Barkley #1....I guess it's just a matter of, are there 3 QB's he can live with? Or perhaps he feels strongly he knows the direction the NY Jets are going. We all know they want a QB. If he gets reliable info they are into a QB he doesn't care about, then that is like a free pass. Then it becomes a matter of, are there 2 QB's you can live with? Not saying I expect it to happen, because I don't....Just that he certainly didn't close that door.
I'm having visions of Barkley becoming a legendary NFL RB with the Cleveland Browns....Is that so wrong? Still a pretty solid plan....
I liked Dave Gettleman's comment today about making sure they come away with a "gold jacket" type pick.... That's all Dorsey needs out of this Browns draft....Two or three "gold jacket" type picks.
Can you just imagine how the Dawg Pound would be if the Browns threw out a dominating defense on Sunday's like the Jags had last year....We aren't that far away.
That is just a sampling of their "exciting slate of Thursday night games". It's a pretty week slate on first look. Maybe the weakest I've ever seen before games are played.
