Where Do We Go From Here?

The report Ron Wolfe had on Brett Favre was that his shoulder wouldn't last 5 years, and he made the deal to acquire him anyway. Ya just never know....I'd have to agree that if there are no red flags by the medicals, it's a non issue...

Irish, I understand your point, and I'm not arguing it.

I already said, I'm willing to simply disagree on this.

    Been saying this repeatedly.

Darnold or Allen would be *WAY* outside of Dorsey's norm.

Who are you? Where are you from, give us ANYTHING to believe you can be trusted in any way shape or form. I'm not attempting to be "tough" in any sense of the word. I was a 4 year athlete in Football (captain), baseball and wrestling, 2 time, regional placer in wrestling. So, at one point in my life, I wasn't the only one that thought I was tough. I was in the 1989 who's who of Ohio wrestling book...That was damn near 30 years ago and I am a shadow of my athletic youth..I now coach woman's softball at a highly competitive level. Ages, 14-18....and I'd like to believe am well respected among my peers. I in no way consider myself "a tough guy", not do I try to portray that in my writing. I attempt to write intelligently as to what my thoughts are on many different subjects, pro football being my favorite subject of them all.

To "put money on it" is ridiculously immature on something neither one of us has any control over. So get over it...

All I have ever heard about you is your self proclemation of coaching WRs at a high school in the Cleveland area. If you are so confident in yourself, tell us more so that you have SOME credibility on these boards. I don't hide, most of the prominent posters on here have my Facebook, we are "friends".

If you call me out though, you best be able to back it up...so far in our lifetimes, you haven't, which is why no one takes you seriously.

I'm sure it is, as well. But . . . If the quality and accuracy of information obtained from "inside sources" can be taken with a grain of salt, and the actual workout is scripted and rehearsed for weeks leading up to the pro day, it makes more sense to me to put more emphasis on game film and scouting reports than on what may be gleaned from one on one discussions with "insiders".

Thus, the Browns opted focusing on securing players with NFL level tape and residual college and pro scouting reports.

When able to, the Browns do as well..You are acting as if they dismissed his pro day, because they have dismissed him as a prospect. That's a negligent take. Circumstances dictated WHY they weren't there, plain and simple.

  9. What would you like to know?

  10. Did anyone from the Browns attend the pro day?

Just because his shoulder is fine now doesn't mean it shouldn't be a going-concern.

Yes, they had a contingency present..It just wasn't Dorsey, Jackson, Haslem or Haley, so it wasn't news...

  14. Well Haslam doesnt have much to do when it comes to adding a FA...just call him on his cell phone

That is your opinion, and as I have stated multiple times, I am willing to simply disagree.

I have no problem with your opinion on that, and like I was discussing with Irish earlier today, I'm good to disagree on it.
I'm not suggesting that there is more of an emphasis placed here, only that it is utilized information.

I will disagree with the 'grain of salt' comment, but that's more a matter of opinion so I'm willing to leave it be that.

The whole point of this debate today though, was that you are using that as, not just an example, but the example of why you believe that Darnold and Allen are the two top choices for the #1 overall pick...Because, none of the top 4 offensive brass/ownership were in attendance at Mayfield's pro day...even though the Browns WERE in attendance.

I don't know what we are disagreeing on here...

Is it that the Browns didn't attend, or you don't feel someone high enough up attended, thus eliminating the prospect from consideration for #1 overall?

I think you've kinda hit a wall on your argument, and just decided we will agree to disagree...What exactly are we disagreeing on?

  20. Lets go back to the car example...if your buying a brand new car are you sending your 15 yr old daughter to look at it and you will buy it based on her opinion or do you want to be there and see the car, test drive it and ask the questions? I think we know what the answer is...therefore we see the interest in Allen and Darnold over Mayfield
