That comes as a surprise...some stat guy showed me he was a top 5 performer during the yr..maybe #2 to be exact...I guess stats do lie
He called out Dorsey and Hue after the season on the talent comments, like "real players", that each had made during and after the season...apparently you don't do that to the GM and coach... Neither could get over it. Sad really, because he was one of the type of players that could make this team competitive. Sounds like the agent called them to the floor, then Dorsey called McCourty and let him know they were parting ways....Dorsey makes it sound like he wasn't one of those "real players". He said after talking with Jason's agent, he called him to let him know he was giving him an opportunity to hook up with another club because he wasn't too sure he would make this roster...That's BS..but what ever.
On the brighter side . . . Its being reported that Pryor and Honey Badger signings are on the Browns' radar.
Pryor lol....seems like teams are banging down the door to sign the guy....why do they want Ty...they already have a FS and SS?
Why are we always dealing with the Patriots? Feels like Belichick just calls on the Browns whenever he wants something, and regardless of truth, everybody just assumes we lost on the deal without even seeing the specs...
Interesting, that must have happened rather quickly before the paperwork for his release went through...another fax machine error? It was reported they were releasing him, then Dorsey was in an interview about 2 hours ago, talked about how he called McCourty earlier this morning to let him know they were releasing him so he could have time to try and catch on with another club... I like this...at least we move up, what, two spots in the draft by making this move..
It happens often enough. They let it out to the media they are releasing him and then a team calls for a minor trade last moment so they can get his contract.
Yes, I know he’s a safety No, I don’t know the thread count of his sheets. I’m sure someone on this board does, though. Randall played CB in GB. Let him compete there.
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft...ld-is-the-karate-kid-at-his-oklahoma-pro-day/ Pretty funny...You guys know I like Mayfield too, but wtf? Did he really wear that? Well this is why he gets the "Johnny" comparison...He knew all eyes would be on him, and he rolled out with that on. smh... He begs for it..... I might have to rethink my assessment. lol! Just kidding...but seriously, wtf?
lol! Oh I'm sure Mayfield would have no problem telling the world that he could do that move way better than Ralph Macchio ever dreamed...And that's not Baker Mayfield being cocky. That's just the truth of the matter.... I know he always wears a headband but I didn't realize it was the Karate Kid edition...lol! It just makes me laugh.
I *love* Tyrod Taylor. How many wins does this team have in 2017 if you swapped just Kizer for Taylor?
What's with Hue making the right choices for once? With one year on his deal, Browns would still have the option to tag him in 2019 to keep his rights. A lot of that will depend on how well he performs and how quickly the rookie at #1 picks up the game. Knowing the window, it has to (again) rule out Darnold and Allen... doesn't it? Sam Darnold would be about as old as Kizer was when he started and that's beginning in 2019. Josh Allen is never going to get it, plain and simple. Rosen could play Day 1 in the NFL (makes a lot of sense for a team like the Jets) and Mayfield should be able to play at some point year one, so year two would be a given. A nice situation to have - could we be so lucky? - is Tyrod plays well and we win *multiple* (gasp) games. Tag him and let him start in 2019, too.
