TD, You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers..I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Be well my friend.
Thanks for the kind words friends...It's much appreciated. I'm not going anywhere. Doing this keeps my mind at peace... Interesting side note; I was walking into the OSU James Hospital yesterday when things got crazy. About 15 police cruisers came rolling in to the emergency area, along with several ambulances. No doubt it was involving the tragic shooting of those officers in Westerville. I'm not sure if they had the gunman or the policemen that were killed, or all three, but that was some chaos. Very sad to see. A lot of distraught policemen...I didn't put it all together until I saw the news later in the day. Pretty unbelievable. Those guys lay it on the line, and that was the brutal reality of what can happen. Life is fragile.
Indeed. Events like you're going through right now tend to put everything else in perspective. When I had my stroke back in late 2016, I was very fortunate to have had excellent care in the ER or else I wouldn't be here today. Maybe that's why I tend to look at things differently than some of you guys.
I thought this was kind of cool; http://www.cleveland.com/entertainm...d_wins_olympic_gold_b.html#incart_river_index
Well it's just around the corner, so here is the complete list of NFL Scouting Combine invitees; https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft...s-invited-to-the-nfl-combine-in-indianapolis/ and here are some of the biggest names among the combine snubs; https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft...-the-best-players-not-invited-to-the-combine/
This is pretty crazy....but fun: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft...-no-1-and-a-trade-for-every-first-round-pick/
@showstopper Can we meet each other halfway? Let's say the Browns take Mayfield at #1, trade down from #4 to #6 with Jets so they can select Josh Rosen. At #6, the Browns draft your guy, Derwin James. (Browns would also get #72 from Jets) Everybody wins?
Other than Ridley, I haven't heard a ton of chatter on the WR's in this class. I think the Browns will address this area in free agency aggressively, and we still might draft one. So I spent a little time over the weekend looking closer at the receivers. Here's my top 5: 1. COURTLAND SUTTON - 2. CALVIN RIDLEY 3.JAMES WASHINGTON 4. MICHAEL GALLUP 5. CHRISTIAN KIRK
And the next tier isn't bad either. Not as locked in on the order, but clearly a talented group: 6. DEON CAIN 7. DANTE PETTIS 8. SIMMIE COBBS JR 9. AUDEN TATE 10. DJ CHARK
lol! I couldn't get em all on the list...I like those tall WR's. We'll say he lost out to Cobbs and Chark because of size.
I'll admit, I'm trying to narrow my evaluation/analysis to players I think the Browns should be taking. This season, I'm relying more on scout's analysis for the players I don't get to.
...and here I thought you'd take issue with Sutton being ranked higher than Ridley... ...I haven't researched it, but I wonder if Anthony Miller is related to the former 1st rd pick out of Tennessee; Anthony Miller, that was an excellent speed burner WR for San Diego back in the late 80's/ early 90's era?
