Where Do We Go From Here?

I don't disagree at all. If we hadn't sunk so much money into our guards, I'd absolutely pull the trigger. I noted in my mock draft he was the only guaranteed All Pro as a rookie - dude is going to be legit at the NFL level and safe. GM's love safe.

At this point, I think I'd be happier discussing flipping picks with the Giants to give them Rosen, drafting Mayfield at 2, then flipping picks with the Colts and take Barkley at 3. I am positive that the Giants will take a QB (Manning is smelling the pasture). I also think that the Colts go QB, but my thoughts that Luck might be done could be completely unfounded. I guess it depends on how much the FO values the players available. If we lose out on Barkley and "get stuck" with the best DB in the draft.... well shucks.

Humorous read for some stuff we hear this time of year.

^^^That is pretty funny. I'm surprised he left some off...Here's a few more "Mayockisms":

TWEENER: A player that is built to player a couple different positions, although he isn't really that good at either.

ROAD GRADER: Excellent run blocking O-lineman that can't protect the passer at all.

BURP THE BABY: When a QB pats the football too long and then throws late, allowing the DB to jump the route. Browns fans know this one well.

GET THROUGH THE TRASH: When a defender successfully navigates through a mass of blockers and teammates to make the tackle. Players that do this consistently are called "SCRAPPERS"...

RUN THE ARC: When an edge rusher uses speed to run outside of the OT, and then flattens his path in pursuit of the QB.

    J.A.G. : Just a guy.

For now. Soon it will be Cousins. Then it’ll be the next perceived franchise QB.

Someone’s gotta run that village don’t ya know?

Then you should probably cancel your season tickets for the 49ers.

  12. Campbell Administrator Manager Commissioner

Gonna stash that comment over here for a later discussion...

$27.5 million a year for a guy who's started seven career games.

Yeah... Cousins gettin' $30+ million for sure.

    no doubt.

I think I just got completely off the Cousins bus.

    Garoppolo > Cousins

People are getting way too caught up in statistics....The only reason Garoppolo doesn't have stats that would blow cousins out of the water, is because of the situation Garoppolo went in to...

Sorry Jimmy, tough to put up stats when you are stuck on the bench behind a legend...

  16. That's sad 2 decent QBs getting paid more than Rodgers, Brady, etc etc

  17. IrishDawg42 Legend Manager Browns Buckeyes Fighting Irish

As sad as it may seem, they are still better than at least 22 other QBs...So one of those 22 other franchises will pay to get him over one of the other 21 franchises...economics my friend, economics.

They are getting paid more than Rodgers because he signed a 7 year deal way back in 2013..His contract runs through 2019, but he could be extended at any time because of these numbers...over the past 5 years the salary cap has increased $10M per year. If he had signed a 5 year deal, he would be making A LOT more money this year, easily in the 30's.

Don't have an RB thread going yet, so...

Barkley not great on the production analytics scale. Good, not elite.

Sure glad we fired our analytics guy and kept the 1-31 "traditional football" coach.
