Nah, if we sign Kirk Cousins, I would continue to groom DeShone Kizer. Cousins hasn't had injury issues.
Any rookie QB on the roster besides Mayfield or Rosen in 2018 is the worst-case scenario for this team. A developmental player like Darnold or Allen is a disaster waiting to happen. If you get a king's ransom for the pick, moving all the way back into the first and taking Lamar Jackson with a butt-load of assets around him and a steady, veteran hand at QB would be a decent option but sub-optimal behind Mayfield/Rosen.
So is the lesson that if you are a good QB Hue Jackson can get the potential out of you early but that if you aren't then you can't ever be one? Because if so it's time to actually get a good prospect.
I noticed they had Maurice Hurst going #3 overall to the Colts. That's the highest I've seen him projected, by I agree that he could be in the top 5 conversation...
This guy must have been pretty happy if you know what I mean when he produced this mock....Mayfield and Hurst going #1 and #3 have zero, zilch, nada chance of this happening lol
PFF correctly nailed Goff in 2016 and Watson in 2017. More often than not, PFF gets their grades right. They had guys like Lattimore and Foster as Top 5 picks which, in 20/20 they would be. Everyone has misses but they've been far more reliable than your buddy, Mel. Baker has been the top-rated QB for them the past two seasons. He's going to be an elite NFL QB - barring injuries and a boy named Hue.
Actually, it was Bradley Cooper...but I agreed. Just relax stopper. There's only about 4 million more mocks to come... Nobody knows how the draft will unfold...
