Where Do We Go From Here?

    Obviously, Mayfield is top priority.

At #4, I would seriously entertain Bradley Chubb out of N.C. State. The top pass rusher in this class and one of the top prospects overall. Sure, FS is a glaring need, but Chubb is an elite talent and the Jacksonville Jaguars went from 3-13 to the AFC Championship with an elite pass rush (33 sacks in 2016 versus 55 in 2017).

The Browns had 34 in 2017.

You can never have too many solid pass rushers...

    Suppose we took our QB at #1...and these guys were all available at pick #4;
    M. Fitzpatrick
    Roq. Smith
    S. Barkley
    B. Chubb
    D. James
    Which one would you select?

With all the QB hungry teams, it's really not such a far fetched scenario...

    Fitzpatrick for me...

Then if Barkley falls, try moving back into the first to get him...I don't think he'll fall out of the top 7 though, so that's probably a moot point.

I think I agree...But adding Chubb to our improving defensive front is an appealing option. That is a close one...

Hard to believe that they have only had three coaches in my lifetime... We go through that many about every 5 years. Steelers are the model of stability when it comes to coaching. I remember when these rumors were flying about Bill Cowher, in the 90's, because he couldn't get them over the hump. Don't expect the Rooney's to succumb to public pressure, or make some spontaneous move with the HC...

  8. I agree but Munchak is a former Steeler and is already on staff...if Im a betting man Tomlin stays

    Browns interviewing this guy today for OC;

Why does it figure, that we'd go after a guy who was essentially forced to relinquish play calling duties last year?...With McAdoo and Zampese on our side, how could things go wrong?

Derwin just moved down two spots on my safety rankings (maybe, 2 days ago?).

    In no particular order...

    Baker Mayfield
    Roquan Smith
    Bradley Chubb
    Saquon Barkley
    Josh Rosen
    Minkah Fitzpatrick
    Courtland Sutton
    Quenton Nelson

Look at the rankings. They're on the forums.

I still have another round of scoring to go (plus the combine to scale it against) and he could be #1 before it's all done with, but he slid some on this last round.

If the choice comes down to Mularkey/McAdoo... it will be interesting to see which side wins.

Hearing on The Fan that Mularkey has ties to Dorsey and McAdoo ties to Jackson, so you can almost already see the rift (not that it wasn't already apparent) widening before we even hit the Draft.

Hue Jackson: John, I want Sam Darnold.

    John Dorsey: *silently nods*

HJ: See... I love working in complete tandem. So refreshing now that "Statshi Brown" is gone.

Mike Mularkey: Boy, that Josh Rosen sure is something.

    JD: *selects Josh Rosen*

Mike Silver, October 2018: Hue Jackson wanted Baker Mayfield the whole time.

Baker Mayfield: *6-0 with Denver at time of posting*

Pretty crappy safety class. Fitzpatrick and James are the only blue chip players, tbh.
