Bama will win 1st down and get this Frosh n 3rd n long...they will throw the kitchen sink at him and he will be dazed and confused...I do think Georg will shut down Bama as well so I see Bama 20-13
I certainly think low scoring...I'll go with Bama 23, Georgia 9 It'll be just as ugly as that score ... Bama is great, but not a whole lot of fun to watch IMO...
Georgia is not intimidated by Bama at all.. Interesting side note...,This game features Mel Tucker's Georgia defense, going against Brian Daboll's Bama offense... so that's nice.
It was a good game all around -- really exceeded my expectations for a Georgia/Alabama title. I thought Kirby puckered in the fourth (just like Lincoln Riley did against Georgia) and cost his team the win. That field was littered with future NFL starters and some studs. Roquan Smith and Minkah Fitzpatrick are as-advertised. Both can be defensive cornerstones to build around. Both DaRon Payne and DaShawn Hand look like terrific interior additions. And the friggin' running backs... makes me seriously reconsider Barkley at No. 1.
Im not sure why they went wildcat late in the 4Q...Bama just ran their safeties in the box and there was no room for anything...Payne was a beast and R Davis is another stud interior DL...there was talent for sure on the field
Just remembering back to when Sashi Brown reportedly wanted to take Mitchell Trubisky No. 1 overall and Hue Jackson talked him out of it. You literally just had the hottest offensive coordinator on the market choose Trubisky over the often-heralded Luck (and a former GM he would have been comfortable working with in Chris Ballard). #BlameItOnAnalytics #JustAGuy
I've never seen anyone predict a 3-peat a year before they even get the repeat. But yeah, that kid was a gamer. And it's Bama, so I guess you can do that.... The last play was a thing of beauty the way he looked the Safety the opposite way. Perfect pass. That was sweet...
I get the feeling Chicago got the right coach this time. Nagy is probably the guy we should have went after. They've been switching coaches like the Browns do the last several years and it's been ugly. Seems like they made the right hire....Then again, I thought they had it solved when they brought in Marc Trestman. Sooo Obviously nobody needs to remind Browns fans how hard it is to find a solid HC....
Hes a Frosh thats why I did it....I follow recruiting(5* galore) and I know their loaded every yr....definitely not putting my house on it but if any team can do it they have the best chance....plus now they will need 2 losses before the committee doesnt put them in the playoffs
Yeah, I know....They've won 5 titles in 9 years. Saban has a true dynasty happening. Unless one of the losses is to Mercer....
What do you guys think of Maurice Hurst? I think he should be considered in the top 10 of this draft. Obviously we have substantial recent investments in Danny Shelton (kind of a disappointment) and Larry Ogunjobi, but I'm not sure I'd let that stand in the way of drafting this guy. He's the closest thing that I've seen to Geno Atkins. Just a powerful penetrating force in the interior. They really had difficulty blocking him in college...I know we have lots of positions to address, but I just want the best football players, and I think Hurst is one of them...
He'll be compared to Aaron Donald more and more leading up 'til the draft until some team picks him in the top 10. He's surely the best defensive tackle in the country, but I wouldn't think the Browns are interested. That's not an indictment on their front office at all; rather, the need isn't there relative to other positions.
I agree...Some rankings have Vea, Wilkins, Payne and even Taven Bryan higher. It's a little surprising to me. I think Hurst will prove to be the best of the bunch as far as the interior D-lineman go. His quickness is impressive. He's in the backfield a lot, and it happens many times before the Guard can even get out of his stance. This will show my age, but back in the day we had a guy very similar to Hurst. Little brother of "the fridge", Michael Dean Perry. Dude was scary quick like that...
