Terrelle Pryor - who's already indicated he'd like to return to Cleveland.

What kind of money is he wanting?

And where does he fit in? Slot, since Gordon and Coleman are probably WR1 and WR2?

Not sure there... if Rosenhaus still has any sway, it'll be a higher number, but I think he only earned $6 million of his $8 million deal this season. Browns could offer the Britt package (4-year, $32 million) again.

He's a boundary guy, but it'd be interesting to see him play in the slot. He did his best work in 2016 as the "reliable" target versus the deep threat. At 6'5" and 230, he'd be a nightmare in the slot. I would think Coleman gets cut/traded in the offseason and he could take over the flanker role, though.

    Does money really matter?

Gordon and Coleman ??? One is a dixie cup away from being a used car salesman. The other is not likely to see 12 games on the active list.

    Thanks for the list Doug...

One thing I noticed is there's a helluva lot of CB's getting ready to hit free agency....We should pluck one of those Bears, preferably Fuller, and then maybe pair him with another solid young guy like E.J. Gaines....The latter should be familiar with our defense, he played under Williams with the Rams.

Last year was an amazing year for CB's in the draft and we ignored the position until round 4, Howard Wilson. Then of course he went down with a preseason non-contact injury and that was that. Maybe this is the year to solve our issues at CB through free agency...Just a thought.

Another thing I couldn't help noticing on that top 50 list was two ex- Browns in the top 10...

Oh please...Would you even be saying that if he wasn't a Florida State guy? I seriously doubt it.

True enough. Wasn't really concerned about the price as they have a ton to spend. Was just curious. Just don't want to build a team thru FA. The costs do add up quickly. A few pieces would be nice, though.

If Pryor's production can be at least half of what Antonio Brown ($17M) does, he'd be more than worth the $8M/yr price tag.

  10. He's an absolute steal for that price...he's a mismatch and played w a QB that isn't a very good passer...definitely worth a shot for virtually a 3rd round pick

lol! It's Josh Gordon dude...Why would you take his words on our business decisions so seriously?

  12. I was more or less talking to SAS bout his post...I'm not taking him seriously

I know what Kelvin Benjamin is...I would have loved to have him here. The point is, ya can't just point to a random trade out of the blue, and blame the Browns for not being the recipients....

IMO...This isn't the same as the Garoppolo deal...Cleveland deserved some criticism for not getting him. Our desperation at the position aside, we had shown clear interest in him, and failed to make it happen....

It's been reported several different ways, so it's fine to believe what you want....I have trouble believing it, since they just mentioned at their "end of season" presser that they would welcome the opportunity to coach it again....Either way though, even if the Browns did turn it down. The surfacing of all these complaints about how the Cleveland's coaching staf handled last year's Senior Bowl, and how lame and and out of sync all the practices were, is still embarrassing. Is it not? It's just another gut shot for those that love the Browns...Hue specializes in those.

  15. Due diligence? Did they inquire or just assume he was staying w Carolina...if they inquired and were told this is what we want and they refused...no doubt their at blame

This class is one of the best I have ever seen, as well as the deepest class. Last year was really good, but the 2018 class is better and deeper. I had a hard time narrowing my list to a top five. I had an argument for at least nine backs to be in my top five.

    ^^Lots of truth here...

The consummate Browns' draft-process article, right here.

"Well Browns, you went 0-16 for just the second time in NFL history. Here's a solid running back in the fourth round you can use for three or four seasons."

Browns need to take the best players in the class. If they can somehow manage to talk up Rosen and Darnold and then pull the fast one on draft night and take Barkley then Mayfield, that's already a home run draft. Round it out with a couple more good starters in the second/third rounds and everything else is special teams and depth.

  19. They have the #1 pick in the draft...they dont need to talk them up at all....if they talk them up and dont select either at #1 red flag right away

I agree. Just get the best football players we can get...Passing on the high end talent so we can go after quantity isn't working...
