Sometimes I wonder if they shouldn't fine the players a lot more in the pocket to where it really hurts.....They just don't seem to care no matter what......Take em out of a few games or playoff games and hit em with a higher fine on top of it. It changed Matt Cooke's attitude....Buttman could learn something from that....

 

Buttman needs to tell Shanny to be more strict......$5,000 is pocket change for some of these guys.....

to be fair, Bob had pulled a hextall a bit earlier and speared nash in the back of the leg in front of the crease. then, he had the goal waved off. needless to say, he was a bit testy at that point.

BTW...anything that gets bob off his game is OK by me. Hope the Wings were paying attention.

doesn't seem like he meant to catch him w/ the elbow but when you're a slow footed defenseman wearing concrete skates these things can happen. no past suspension history for Murray.

Murray is just a terrible plodder now, no excuse for that hit. I doubt it was even malicious, all the more reason to hammer him for being lazy.

Give the guy a couple goals and he's right back to the antics. Probably worried other teams were stealing the spotlight. He was given 5 and a game, I thought that deserved more but I haven't heard anything yet from Shanny and the minions.

 

ya, i saw the burrows hit. not impressed. way to "send a message", numbnuts.

 

Burrows knew exactly what he was doing. I just wish I was watching close enough to understand if Burrows was just being a bitch or getting some retribution. That kind of high elbow/charge/double team thing usually leads me to believe it was some sort of payback but I'll never know with Burrows.
