Caps D-man, Brooks Orpik, gets a 3-game (AKA rest of the Captials' season) suspension for his hit on Penguins' Olli Maata.

 

Although Orpik being suspended is good for player safety and the NHL's image, I like having Orpik on the ice due to his high propensity for fuckups, with and without the puck. His liability could only help Pittsburgh is this series.

i didnt think that hit was all that bad, although head may have been principle point of contact. diving slash by Panik right before was something sneaky.
I hate plays like that being called charging. Hjalmarsson stepped up and picked a good time to do it. if he avoided the head I wouldve thought it was a strong NZ play.
