thanks for posting that, will - i never did see it last night, just heard all the commentary while i was in the basement.

now that i've seen it, i have to say it's not something that leaps out at me as a suspension. even brickley said it looked shoulder to shoulder.

reminds me of the hit that led to the bertuzzi-moore incident.

 

The NHL has fined Brad "Nose Face Killa" Marchand (also known as The Rat) the maximum penalty of $5000... for roughing against Gabriel Landeskog.

 

Landeskog's hit was shoulder to shoulder... It was a blind side hit, but it was within a timely manner considering NFK just fired a shot to the net. Landeskog also earned The Rat an extra 2 minutes. He should've fought NFK after that punch to the mouth and Marchand would've received an instigation penalty too. Marchand is such an idiot.

I like Gabe a lot; I agree with the suspension because that's how I see the league adjudicates these matters, and they have to be consistent.

Sakic is making noise about trading anybody or everybody. He only excludes MacKinnon from possible trade. I think Gabe should be an untouchable for them too. But, of course, I do not have to put up with Roy everyday either.
