Carbomb gets away with his crosscheck on Perreault.

It was retaliatory and malicious, I'm not sure what is appropriate but I prefer he get suspended for weeks or years. It's possible they were punishing the Blackhawks by NOT suspending Carcillo...so much for his "cleaned up" image. More fun than all the crap about Cooke having been reformed. Weber had some recent thoughts on that. Too bad Carbomb, Cooke, Garbutt, etc. aren't kicked out of the league.

WPG tempting evil to come out. I have no idea what they were doing running Kane, starting fights after clean hits, slashing and whacking. Keith will chop their damn heads off and Hjalmarsson will filet their ribs out near the crease...and then Carbomb is still in the game. Jets trying to be the Blues or Dallas or something, it's cute but nobody has been able to make it work in the postseason without HOF-ish talent up and down the lineup.

The first reports coming had nothing coming down from the league office after they reviewed it last night. There was no mention that they continued to debate or if they weren't going to address it until morning. I'm still tracking down reports to see what was going, something stinks from a procedural perspective. I'm not sure if it was a source or a deliberate communication from the office, this was different for some reason.
Here's one of the early reports last night, and this guy hasn't been bad with info:

In the big picture, they got it right.

The refs had horrid game on that game, especially that play. I don't say that very often. Most benches are adept at communicating when a penalty is on the way, and Perreault had earned himself a minor for a slash on Duncan "big tomahawk" Keith (why the fuck would you slash or cheapshot keith if you like your own face?). The officials never had their hand up on the slash which is wrong. Nobody was injured or under duress so I think they're out of excuses. I'm not suggesting Carcillo would have passed on a chance to ruin a career, but he's still supposed to have a chance to learn his team is going to the pp.

Carbomb is a dipshit, it's a shame he's still in the league. I'm glad he's getting at least 5, but a real punishment would be to have Chicago dress him for 20.
