I honestly dont know if he has a history, but it was just announced his hearing is to be an in-person type. I think that usually means some time, dont it? Im not positive about that either. Time and date TBD.

  3. ya, it means they're considering 5 or more games. for a suspension of less than 5 games, the CBA does not require an in-person hearing.

it's not a guarantee he will get 5 or more - but it shows that they think it was serious.

2 in 14 games puts Moore on the dickhead list in my universe. He's a top 20 bad guy now.

That Kreider hit really pissed me off because it was so lazy. No pushing guys into the boards when you see their numbers. Brodin looked all sorts of messed up after the hit too. I won't be surprised if he's missing practice tomorrow morning or something like that. It's a shame, if he stays down, Kreider gets a a game or two.

Minnesota was 0-79 minutes of PP time last night, they deserved to lose.

    can't deny that.

i see that totally differently. Brodin stops skating and turns his back as soon as the forecheck gets there. what is Kreider supposed to do?

Apparently there was a mix-up of sorts at NHL.com. The suspension is 5 games now, not just 2.

I may have did an incorrect copy/paste also on my previous post. Therefor, I deleted it and just got this report. I double-checked ... it is a 5 gamer.

I see quite a few dmen do the same thing, particularly the by veterans and forwards now know how to get by, or at least NOT hit them in the numbers. Fair point though, Brodin could have acted differently, I just thought this falls primarily on Kreider and I think he's seen this plenty of times before.

Kreider should be suspended for 5 more games for still looking like an Arquette. he should also have mandatory plastic surgery to remove the Arquette-ness, which makes him look like a bigger c**t than he already is.

frank, i think yer wrong about Kreider but i can't argue w/ that picture.

    its disturbing.

i see the D pull up right by the boards but Brodin seemed to stop skating entirely and pull up and turn before he even gets to the goal line. i don't know, i could be wrong here but for a F barreling in on the forecheck there isn't much else that should be expected.

Ahhh, after watching it a couple more times I see what you're saying. Brodin did pull up a little quicker or whatever than I usually see in the plays I was referencing before. I still don't think it excuses Kreider but I think you're right to pin a good chunk of blame on Brodin.

  12. Which Arquette, Frank? The tranny Alexis?

a couple of my least favorite players involved in spinning Stephane's wheel makes me happy. not to mention it also was part of a goal and loss for the Habs.

    NHL Department of Player Safety says;

Los Angeles forward Jordan Nolan will have a hearing tomorrow for boarding Detroit's Darren Helm.

"Kassian was not injured on the play." Thats the thing that always gets me confused. It seems punishment is handed out based on severity of the injury, if any. Thats a load of ditchmudd. Refs calling a penalty or going with the no-call based upon whether a player goes down or not is non-sense.

It's so simple and clear to see. A violation is a violation, period. Im preaching to the choir again... probably. But, I would like to see a flat scale implemented across the board. Make it clear cut and definable and then do something that is an actual effective punishment. Why is this so hard? The NHL looks like a league that plays favorites or at times, doesnt even know themselves, how to take care of the game.

I wish there was a way to get Kassian suspended for getting hit.
