    Predicted NFC East Results

    COWBOYS 5-5
    BYE
    W @ NY Giants
    W vs Raiders
    L @ Chicago
W vs Green Bay (If Rodgers is still out)
    W @ Washington
L vs Philadelphia (because Boys will rest starters locked into 4 seed due to division tiebreaker and loss to Detroit)
    9-7

    EAGLES 5-5
    W vs Washington
    BYE
    W vs Arizona
    L vs Detroit
    W @ Minnesota
L vs Chicago (if Philly win this then lose to Dallas, they could sneak in as #6 seed. Carolina win streak hurts though)
    W @ Dallas
    9-7

    GIANTS 3-6
    W vs Green Bay
    L vs Dallas
    L @ Washington
    L @ San Diego
    L vs Seattle
    L @ Detroit
    W vs Washington
    5-11

    REDSKINS 3-6
    L @ Philadelphia
    L vs San Francisco
    W vs NY Giants
    L vs Kansas City
    L @ Atlanta
    L vs Dallas
    L@ NY Giants
    4-12

signs still point to Dallas...but messy. A win by Washington last week of the year or a loss by DAllas against Philly the last week could change everything.

Can ya blame 'em...? I mean, the "division leaders" just lost by 32 points.

  4. LAOJoe Assistant Coach Manager Patreon Silver Maple Leafs Eagles

    Hater ;)

  5. BFRLA Guest

Nope, I can't blame them. A year awhile back, the
3-7 Steelers were seriously talking playoffs...then again,
the division leading Ravens were 5-5 at the time.

Look at the bright side, there will be no team in the
league that can beat Dallas this weekend :)

  6. AxeMurderer Legend Cowboys

Bye couldn't have come at a better time. Don't know how bad Sean Lee's hammy is, DWare clearly wasn't 100% healthy, Jason Hatcher was out, Mo Claiborne, JJ Wilcox...if DAllas is going to make the playoffs so they can do their "one-and-done" routine, they gotta get healthy.

  7. AxeMurderer Legend Cowboys

LOL! Well, the next three games ARE at the Linc -- Birds haven't won at home since September 30 of last year.

  8. BFRLA Guest

I agree with Collinsworth. When the game went out
of reach, they should have pulled him. It doesn't seem
worthwhile to risk making an injury worse when there's
    no hope of catching up.

  9. AxeMurderer Legend Cowboys

Don't know why we don't see that more often -- players being pulled when a game is out of reach. Nothing is being accomplished by sending out star players when you're up (or down) 38-3 with 7 minutes left in the game.

  10. LAOJoe Assistant Coach Manager Patreon Silver Maple Leafs Eagles

Ya I know but I wouldn't think too much of it (unless it was on road). The Eagles had a lot of problems the last 2 seasons. It just so happens a lot of the issues seemed to come together negatively during home games. I don't think it had anything to do with being at the Linc. Things are looking up now.

  11. BFRLA Guest

Come to think of it, both teams should have pulled
their stars in the 4th quarter and give the scrubs a
    chance to play.

  12. AxeMurderer Legend Cowboys

Agreed. Maybe the rationale (if you're losing big) is that if you send in back-ups it means you've "quit." OR if you're up big, you're "showing up" your opponent by calling off the dogs.

  13. BFRLA Guest

If I was 25+ points behind and was accused of quiting because I
pulled my starters, I'd say they are all correct.

That's not such a bad thing is it? The 2006 Saints
were ahead at Dallas 42-17 and on a long run by
Deuce McAlister, he downed the ball at the Dallas 5
yard line on his own. Brees followed that with taking
a knee 4 times in a row. I thought that was admirable.

  14. AxeMurderer Legend Cowboys

I'm with you. You don't want to be pulled from a game? Then don't fall behind by 25 points.

I don't think it's a bad thing at all. I see no reason to keep chucking the rock if I'm up 35-10 midway through the 4th.

Started to look like I was right. If boys beat the deadskins then this is almost certainly going to be the sunday night game.

  16. AxeMurderer Legend Cowboys

    Very likely...if Dallas wins.

But more and more, I'm losing all confidence that they can beat ANYONE, even a Washington team that, for the most part, looks like its tossed in the towel. The last 3 weeks Dallas has surrendered an average of 35 ppg -- and those three game all came against back-up QBs (Matt McGloin, Josh McCown, and Matt Flynn).

  17. Patschamp Franchise Player Patriots

They better not disappoint. Love the extra playoff game week 17.

  18. LAOJoe Assistant Coach Manager Patreon Silver Maple Leafs Eagles

If Lions lose tonight and to the Giants and Packers win vs steelers next week I think that Bears vs Packers may be a lock, especially if they have Rodgers playing.

The NFL wants to announce the matchup on Sunday night, so the Lions will likely have to lose both of these next two.

  19. Patschamp Franchise Player Patriots

That wouldn't be nearly as entertaining as the annual nfc east championship game.

  20. RTTRUTH Legend Manager Colts

To me it's Garrett, then Romo in that order for responsibility. I've been B**ching about Garrett since they promoted him. Worst HC possibly in the league. Don't know what Jerruh sees in him.
Without being a hater, Dallas does have a way of repeating history in that sense.

Really if you look at the numbers, no team playing as weak defensively as Dallas is deserves to make the playoffs. It is what it is.
