I’m so fed up with seeing this asshole just give away picks

It’s like one long, drawn out nightmare that you can’t wake up from.

They almost have enough guys to have all TE’s vs CB’s game 11 on 11.

Aaaaaaaand Pace remembers there is an offensive line.

Back to back O Linemen in the 7th:

    Arlington Hambright G - COLO
Lachavious Simmons T - Tenn St

Both picks earned a D+ grade from CBS Sports.

    Way to nail it, Pacer.

I’ve never seen less interest post draft than this.

I just can't find a lot to be excited about. More of the same from Pace. A reach here...sacrificing some future picks there.

    I don't know...it's a big meh from me.

Needless/foolish trade-ups, not drafting for positional need, taking guys with injury history, reaching for prospects from small schools. We've seen this play out before and it doesn't end well.

It makes sense that apathy rules.

Ha ha. Yep. Same shit, different draft.

But even the anger isn’t there. That’s really bad.

I'm pretty 'meh' with this too. Attributed to limited picks, Pace's neglect of finding starting talent on the OLine, trading up with a division rival and giving them a 4th for a 5th round player when 5th rounders don't have the best odds of staying with a team--after year 1 is near 50-50 and is 37% going into year 3, but he's now in the hunt for 2nd pair at Edge (assumed with Mingo and Irving) and you need him to be more productive than Irving and Aaron Lynch last year (which again--not a very high bar to reach).

I get they weren't dire needs as others, but I'm also left scratching my head at ILB depth (they lost Kwiat and KPL so what happens if Noquan/Trevathan get hurt or Noquan gets mysteriously held out of the line up for weeks with another unknown condition), who pushes RRH, who spells Monty/comes through when you need tough yards and window dressing a Tarik Cohen run up the gut doesn't work?

The only thing I'm optimistic about is the 2nd rounders' chances (provided the CB's surgically repaired shoulders have been medically cleared by competent doctors). Only positive I got unless piling on Green Bay's and Detroit's questionable decisions this weekend counts...

When they had Rodgers and Favre, they also swung on Brian Brohm and many others. While they can be panned for this, trying at the position more than once is not a bad way to go. It's how you end up with 2 QBs over the past several decades. Vs the 300 the Bears have trotted out.

Pace was the guy who said draft a QB every year. Unfortunately he keeps trading away that draft capital to be able to TAKE a stab on a guy in the 2nd-4th round to try and find a Tom Brady / Tony Romo what have you.

I can't believe Pace traded up, using future capital. Again. It's comical at this point We'll *probably* have a first rounder next year? Won't that be something.

Overall, I can't be too mad about the picks themselves, short of the short-shrift the Oline recieved again. That unit has been terrible. Kmet can't be worse than Shaheen ("baby gronk")....right? We'll see how it pans out, but this team has me just rife with don't give a fuck. See you gents in August.
