i agree though that Weber is gonna make them better this year.

Hoping, the first three or four years of the deal will be real good for the habs.

Yakupov will be dangerous on a good team. When the Oil win, which is rare, Yak does well. So....? lol

Just having Price back should stabalize things. I expect a really hot start before Shaw, Gallagher, Weber, and Markov start breaking down or slowing down the 2nd half of the year.

    best shot of Yakupov's career.

I still can't believe how little Oil got in return for the Yak. Surpised they wanted Russell so badly that they wouldn't take on some salary for a good cost controlled prospect/pick combo from another team. He can play defense if he wants, love the trade for STL.

then grabbing Russell makes it more palatable for Edmonton i think. they can obviously use the help on the blueline.
how good will Puljujarvi be this year? will he play more than 9 games?
i think theres still a chance that the Yak can score 30+. couple fellow Ruuskie Fs there- Jaskin, Tarasenko

Anaheim finally signed Lindholm, so we turn our attention to Fowler trade talks. The hockey team from Boston looks like they'll be a contender once they solve their porous D.

Or, is Trouba brewing in Beantown? With ANA placing Despres on LTIR the Fowler trade may wait until Despres skates again.

Meanwhile there are interesting rumblings in Calgary that the Flames may move a blueliner. Wideman is logical except he has a NMC. Could Dougie Hamilton be on the move again? I doubt it, but it is interesting to watch.

Meanwhile, I'd rather root for a suck team like the Sabres than a budget team like the Ducks. That would truly suck.

I posed this question last year, I will ask it again. Would you deal McDavid straight up for sidney crosby?

Certainly not at this stage in their respective careers. I think McDavid could finish his career in hallowed status with Gretzsky and Howe.

It's no disrespect to say that I think Crosby finishes forever a notch below.

BTW, we could be entering a golden age with McDavid and a bevy of greats following him. Matthews looks to be everything he was touted to be. I'd like to think that Eichel will have a HoF career. Really, there's an awful lot of very young talent in the league.

I would've made the trade last year without him even playing one game, that's just me, I'm a gambler, but sid the kid won the cup. It's a young man's league now, players stepping in and dominating in their first or second year's. Vesey doing great so far, looks like the forwards have little downside risk compared to d-men that you have to wait on, like the oilers with nurse and klefbom or dumba with the wild.

The Sens acquired G, Condon, from the Pens for a 2017 fifth round pick. That's not a bad return for a waiver wire pick up.

So much fun thinking about Trouba and the Jets. This message could go a lot of places; I first posted on the FA board.

I think his bridge contract today signals a quick resolution of his trade demands. I think the terms make it much easier for Chevy to just move on from this mess.
