Wow, big haul or promise and suck for the Coyotes.
Looks like they have plans to end the tank command in a couple of years.
I wonder if Bolland's contract was insured for injury or if they just wanted the security of being above the cap floor as they start rolling guys on ELCs into the lineup over the next couple of years.

Florida continues to unravel Tallon's mess, big stride in that direction today.

I don't think it has anything to do with flexibility from the bolded tweet. The previous one makes the most sense, Bolland's dead weight won't tie down TOI and helps keep them at or near the cap floor.

Chayka is really putting his stamp on that team. he's maneuvering money for players in a way that hasnt been done yet or not to the degree in which he's doing it. i would say that Detroit did real well at the draft unloading Datsyuk on them but that was a mutually beneficial deal. i dig what he's doing w/ the Coyotes. 3 of Arz's highest paid players are Bolland, Datsyuk and Pronger.

Tallon had the keys taken away. He wouldn't have traded his first away in my opinion. If he gets the keys back, I'll give up 3 to 1 that he tries to get him back.

Many bad contracts to bury, trade, and cry about. Moar action on the way in a few weeks.

I hope so. I check the headlines everyday and there has been nothing to write home about.

Okay, didn't want to feed the beast but these Yakupov rumors have me aroused.

  13. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

Lots of buzz of Yakupov going to Chicago for non roster players.

all the Oilerds reportedly wanted for him was a 3rd and they couldnt even get it. Rinaldo brought back a 3rd.

lol, I guess the holdup has to do with salary retention.

McNeill's name was thrown around months ago. I would guess Pokka would be involved for Yak since no roster player was named by the sources.

Nail Yakupov traded to Blues by Oilers Forward, No. 1 pick in 2012 Draft, going to St. Louis for prospect Zach Pochiro and a condition draft pick.

The weber trade will be a huge win for the habs this year. The impact he'll have on the whole defensive core, teams will dread having to play the habs this year, scoring won't come easy.
