Trades and Potential Trades

I think there was a rush. That's what I was getting at.
FAs look at where they're at on a roster. Protection, TOI, system, role, etc. play a factor besides dollars I believe.

I think the trade was made now, in part, because of the date.

Keep in mind the Oil have sat on their hands, waiting, for years anyway.

In light of his indiscretions since coming to Buffalo, (two allegations of assaulting and missing practice after the NBA All Star Game in Toronto), there is no chance that TM could get fair value from a talent perspective.

I have sensed that TM was more than bothered by the nuisance of his latest news headlines. He is also a very decisive man and appears willing to admit a mistake.

I think there's substance to this talk, and while he won't give him away, I think there's a decent chance he could be part of a package if a bigger deal presented itself.

 

At the end of the day, first overall or not, it obviously wasn't working out. Now the PK deal was mostly done out of the pressure they put on the team in montreal. The team went down for one reason, because of price, he doesn't go down, habs make the playoffs and no way this deal gets done, which makes it so retarded.

 

Too bad Vanek was bought out, might have been a good swap for everybody.

Dan, was thinking Krug would get $4.5-5 over 5 or 6 years. so kind of in that wheelhouse. he had to be coming back. the Seidenberg buy out is welcome in my household.

This is just a rumor, so I do not know if it belongs on a Potential Trades board.

The Sabres and Avs have discussed a trade involving Kane and Bogosian for Landeskog and Barrie. Even before Kane's recent stunt, I doubt that even the Avs would accept this without something more. But I would not pass this along if I did not feel that there's credibility to the notion that TM and Sakic have discussed another blockbuster.

 

have to assume thats just a rumor or Joe Sakic should be fired immediately.

 

i was amused by eklund's david krejci for cam fowler from multiple unnamed sources. i seriously do not like this guys track record. i enjoy the voices he hears in his head though.

I'm guessing the Sabres are retaining 50% on both and throwing in 4 first rounders to complete the deal.
