Milan Lucic & Jason Demers expected to be in Edmonton today to meet with Oilers management.

 

Datsyk is gone and the Wings might be able to get in on Stamkos.......

One thing about Bennett is he was never on the ice and when he was neverv lived up to his potential. Too many injuries and can't stay on the ice which helped him to never find his groove. Injuries are the main reason Bennett was traded.......

I love that trade for Nashville on about 20 different levels. Nice job by Poile.

 

Weber gets an escrow exempt 8 million (maybe in a few days) and he gets the same next summer. Subban only 6.5 in bonus money until 2021 and his NMC kicks in Friday I believe. It's not as if Nasville was being over generous with spending. They get to kick significant cost down the block for a number of years without having to deal with a declining core piece much later.

 

With Stamkos staying, have to think Yzerman is pulling the plug on most of the FAs he's talked to and will be anxious to get Bishop out of there asap...but who knows?

As a fan of the old AHL Hamilton Bulldogs the Canadiens are giving me less reasons to still cheer for them despite being a Leafs fan.
