It's too bad I dislike Kesler, Getzlaf, and Perry so much. Fun franchise to follow otherwise.

Hopefully, looking for a job in the animal rendering business, he has experience.

Between Jim and Willie, this team blows goats.

Good thing I've been hitting golf balls, just waiting for the time to change.

I saw a cute clip of spring training with the cubbies and all of their fancy cars and the coach has this old van with bubble windows.

I was looking around at Van. stories and saw a great title for a thread:

I'm sorry for Van fans that this even has to be debated right now.

Oh, I forgot that Lee had been in your camp. To be fair, no one I know expected much of him this year. Still, the decision to let him go has been a costly decision. The NJD are likely to have one or two players skating for them in several years; well after Lee has hung 'em up.

I wish Buffalo had given him a t/o, he is a hometown boy.

    I love his plan.
Stempniak wasn't supposed to be there because Hayes, Beleskey, and all the rookies were more than enough coming out of camp.

And I still think this is better than picking up Liles.
At least he didn't sign Tim Thomas as a backup.

to be fair Sweeney couldn't locate Timmy's bunker.

so I heard Sweeney in an interview say that they offered Stempniak a contract and he chose NJ's instead. that makes me feel better about this circus.

  13. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

I don't think it was a problem that they had to repay to get a guy they already had at camp, I think the problem lies in the reason Stempniak chose not to accept the offer...he probably saw ice time locked up/gauranteed (from Sweeney) to the kids. With PTOs, it's about vets getting ice time in certain situations more often than not in my opinion.

im wondering if Stempniak goes right to the Bergy line replacing Connolly.

Are you happy with the B's moves Matty?

  16. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

    He has to I think.

  17. mattymcgee55 Legend Patriots Bruins

no. i just don't get it. whats the direction?
getting younger from the summer moves-
trade Lucic and Hamilton for a ton of picks.
at this point I'm thinking, "well they must be moving up to grab Hanifin or Werenski". nope.

trade a 3rd for that rat Rinaldo? we already have a rat on this team. happy to say that Rinaldo has been placed on waivers and that 3rd was a total waste.
ok, well now they'll have to sign a couple vet Dmen this past summer???.. crickets, nothing done. they must be going w/ the kids then. nope, C. Miller, Vatrano, Grifffith, Khochlachev all in Providence.

they're going to lose Loui so they might as well trade him for something good while they can salvage something from the Seguin debacle. evidently not.

it's like a tornado of poo.

  18. mattymcgee55 Legend Patriots Bruins

so it sounds like Stempniak is going to win the Richard now. you're all in trouble.

  19. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

That's kind of how I picture the Islanders.

Tavares' limited skating starting to show a bit. Nielsen? Okposo? Hamonic?

Garth is back in the nap room.
Maybe Benning and Garth are working on a seminar.

Hate to say it but two of the worst trades getting rid of joe thornton and later seguin, not keeping hamilton another head scratcher.
