I thought Lindback had the makings of a star a couple years ago. missed the boat.
TB and Dallas were disasters, any chance that Buffalo won't be?

as you pointed out Dan the Sabres have acquired something in terms of prospects in net.
i never thought that Subban to Buffalo would be a good idea at all. Too much for the good guys (hockey team from Boston, obviously) to lose w/out a great chip coming back. Stewart?.meh, i guess if he's all thats out there but certainly not for Subban.

best things about the Wings and Hawks are their unis. it ends there.

Well I think even the most obtuse Sabers fan would know it would take a lot more then Stewart. I'd suggest some prospects but that would make it look like I am serious about this. I am serious about wanting Subban, but there's just about zero percent chance that Buffalo could pry him away.

Matty, I've been to many hockey games all over the continent. Chicago, based on my experience, has the best fans based on: knowledge of the game, passion for their team, and general cordiality towards fans of the visiting team.

Well, there was a bitch at one game. I have spent 25 years in NYC and I can attest to the fact that she was a JV-bitch. In any case, I had won her over by the end of the game. Good times watching hockey in Chitown.

BTW, I did not overlook Buffalo, IMHO, many Sabres fans are assholes. What makes them tolerable is the fact that I like their sweaters.

  5. The league-leading Preds acquired defenseman Cody Franson and forward Mike Santorelli from the Toronto Maple Leafs for a first-round pick in 2015, prospect Brendan Leipsic and veteran forward Olli Jokinen.

Tallon says he'll be fairly busy.
I'm betting that means he's kicking the tires on something big. He has to anyway, he's been slowly bleeding away some of his accumulated pieces, he has to do something bigger. The big question is whether or not ownership would commit to a big contract commitment or not.

Phil hanging out in his thong in South Beach. perfect match.

Teams that have already given up 15' and 16' picks:

Teams that have given up their first for 15' already:
    NAS, NYI, NYR, PIT, STL.

Teams that have given up their 2nd for 15' already:
    DAL, PHI, TB, TOR, NYI

Teams that have given up their 2nd for 16':
    COL, MIN, NYI.

Garth gave up alot of picks.

Lots of 3rds have already been moved, but they're still pretty easy to reacquire so I didn't bother listing them.

can garth give up 1st rounders in 2025/26

  11. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

    I think he tried.

Good question though. I think gms have been limited to 4 years out for a few CBAs now. Lou traded Ruutu for Loktionov and a 2017 conditional 3rd before the deadline last march.

Maybe nobody told Garth he could do that.

Lots of trades this week, look for Lupul to be dealt, maybe the pens or rags. Winnik another leaf I could see going for a 3rd.

I'm still trying to shovel through all the bullshit. I love the quantity. This is the biggest number of plausible trade candidates in 5 or 6 years. Too bad the cap is going to keep moves to a minimum but I think we'll see solid quantity with some nice quality carrying over in June.

Maloney really enjoying himself this year. Probably would have had a nice return too.
    Special year for his guys

Seriously, they stopped selling alcohol a few minutes before that gif. Maybe you two should be beer buddies this offseason, I hear Maloney buys.
