i'm not sure what "can be" means here. i am looking for a guy who IS one.

 

Tim is a shut down type guy. He also has no problem dropping the gloves if required. He and Green worked well together in Washington. Could've a good partner for him. Still being paid by the leafs so he can come cheap like 1 to 1.5 million a year

JHayes is an RFA with what should be in the neighborhood of 300 pro games and 150-200 NHL games. He's going to get some bad money too.

Beleskey fills for Smith. JHayes fills for Lucic.

No cap savings for 2015 after the Lucic retention but they have prospects that might help when they're waiving Beleskey for his buyout.

The plan is coming together now.

over the summer its just north of $4. its amazing how quickly generalfanager updates, they already have Beleskey and Hayes on the Broonz cap page. $10m to play w/ and Spooner also already signed.

 

i take that back, general fanager doesn't have the Spooner deal up. maybe its not official, i had heard it was a total of $1.9 over 2 years. call it $1 per. Then Hayes and Connolly to sign as RFAs.
