Did not see that one coming.

Surprised Bowman talked up extending a player so much and then let him go.

    Time to see the return.

Yeah, it's a little early to react but fuck it.

I wonder if it was like the 7.5 Hamilton was going to get.

    Paliotta too?
    Morin back?

    WTF?

....and nothing has been done to address the cap issues.

Wow, huge plus to CBJ on this. I would have expected names like Paul Bittner and not Sabres cast offs like Corey Tropp.

that is such a bad deal for Chicago. Stan must be in love w/ Dano.

By all accounts they were nowhere near coming to an agreement.

The offersheets that I've been waiting for the league to throw around for the last 5 years have finally started causing trouble.

Bowman moved because an offersheet was coming. He had to take picks tomorrow or players today.
I'm still not happy with him.

I hope all the other offers are leaked. I guess there was a ton of noise around this one today.

Nobody saw it coming with CLB though.

  13. Wish it had been with Carolina. Nice Coup by the Jackets

I think it was a good trade by the BJs, but I don't think they stole anything. The paper value of the trade is solid. It's the timing and other players involved, and how they fit/won't fit in Chicago the next couple years that makes it frustrating.

Chicago had an absolute dominating line that dictated games. Now it's switched out for more cumulative talent (Anisimov helps with Richards gone) but far more moving parts, loss of continuity, etc. In 2 years time, I'm not sure Chicago is any better than they would have been If Dano can't stick as a top 6 in 3 years, this will go down as a big loser given the demand for Saad.

    Wow.

Much sodomy going on around the league.

nucks saved their ass today, gave up bieksa for brains to the frucks for a 2nd next year. this will allow them to sign their rfa's and possibly pick up a cheap d-man.

I'm going to miss Dano a lot. He's got a bright future ahead of him. especially in Chicago. Hopefully Saad can make me forget.
