bettman shoulda brought another young girl so that he wouldn't get booed

He handled it well. That sounded brutal though

Lehner has 2 years left, easier to manage in my opinion.

The only thing not to like about the Lucic trade is the salary retention. Eating 3 million not only signals that they're done trying to contend, but that they have do a bigger selloff just to validate the decision to blow it up and eat salary.

I don't like Lehner, I like Martin better. I just don't see as much trade value in Martin because of their contract status.

definitely took an immediate step back but I'm waiting to see of they address that. Sharp would be an upgrade over BF. how about Eberle or Hall? i want Seabrook badly.

the salary retention sucks but at least its only for 1 year. might be foreshadowing that the Bruins are really taking steps back in the short term though and they're going to use all of the acquired picks. would make me mad but if you're going to do that in a draft year it might as well be THE draft year.

you're just still mad about my Mike Reilly thoughts.

I don't like O'Reilly, I think his contract will suck.

I think this is an outstanding fit for Buffalo. They cash in their 2 biggest potential 'problem-child' high end prospects, take defensive pressure off of the young centers, and Buffalo can handle the cap hit until the contract balances out at the end when the cap rises.

Timmy can go get his mushrooms now. He earned them.

Welcome back to the NHL Buffalo.

I think TP was given rights to talk to ROR's people; at the very least CO has a very good idea for what he demands. Grigs, Zads, and 31 are an acceptible cost if he signs. And, I think he will. He's not actually an ass#o!e - he just seems that way at contract time.

He's an asshole alright. In my world (which doesn't have room for anybody else)

That doesn't preclude him from being a good teammate, good at hockey, or a good acquisition even if he is generally overrated.

lol, i knew i recognized that jingle.

  15. it helps the br00nz by giving them far too much return on a pile of dung. that is the sin the kings have committed.

We all complain about them, but I'm glad I've got one around once or twice a day.

JT Compher going to Denver too. He's one of the names I dreaded hearing; damn nice gritty third-line type. Oh well, TM did not consult me on this one. I'm just glad that Girgensons or Fashing were not included.

  17. hockeybob Hall-of-Fame Blackhawks

I really like what Buffalo gave up in the deal.

Maybe they overpaid a little, but they have an ideal fit for that forward group and it eliminates a bunch of nasty questions that are easy to screw up over the next season.

getting rid of 2 Russian pricks is a win.
