MLive is reporting that the dealbreaker for sloppy seconds was the leafs refusing to eat 2 million a year.

Softer is good. They were so not soft they were going to get lit up in the first round. Lovejoy knows how to throw high elbows, not to worry.

Murray continues to shock me. He still has a couple years before depth in the system catches up with them too.

 

Leafs also got Joakim Lindstrom in the Jokinen trade. Just a body so a Marlie doesn't get called up.

I'm not really sure where Jokinen will fit in STL, maybe 4th line?
