The leafs have a sport dietitian named jennifer sygo, she works with the raptors too. She writes out their diet and they have to eat like that according to team policy. I'm sure if they ordered a pizza the odd time after the game, it wouldn't be a big deal, just not every game. Not sure if philly had a team nutritionist or rules regarding what they could eat. If there were no rules, you can't just get upset and take the pizza away, you should already have a plan in place.

skinny the moment he was fired the reports surfaced hextall was a spying nut job. he had assistant coach gord murphy spy on the players and report back to him what was said and what was going on with the team, etc. the players weren't happy. hextall wanted to control everything about the players. they got fed up and they finally fired his ass. so on top of never making a fucking trade or move, he was a wacko to boot. not good.

That's a breach of trust, you can't run things like that, that's a meatheads mentality. Thats why you hire a bright mind, and run things professionally and current, or ahead of the curve with the latest technologies available.

Jordan Weal shipped out of town for a 6th rounder and some scrub from ECHL. Then some nut on FB complains they didnt get enough back for him and hextall got a 3rd rounder once for Rinaldo. who gives a shit what hextall did 4 yrs ago. this is the now and the present. anything that dick did is dead to me. Weal sucked and one of the many on my hit list to leave the team.

Justin Bailey was traded from Buffalo to Philly for some guy. We rooted for Bailey since he was a local kid, and because his father played LB for the Bills. (Although a shot of sperm is all he ever gave Justin.)

He's had ~55 games in the NHL and has promise as a powers forward. But, he really needed a change of scenery. He also is likely to be looked at to fill the void when Simmonds is moved. Overall, his style is probably a better fit in Philly's system.

The guy Buffalo got is probably a better fit in Buffalo's system - that's based on my extremely limited information on him.

Both will stay in the AHL for now, but I expect both will get called up this season - if for no other reason than to assess if the pending RFA's are worth a tender in the summer.

when flyers fans saw a trade was made, they were all happy. then they saw how low of a trade this was and was like huh or who? fletcher needs to be a lot busier before the deadline or he won't last till july.

Brett Pesche and Jake Muzzin are very sought after defensemen. Pesche has 5 and a half years left on a deal that pays him 4M a year.

Stars trade their 4th round pick to the pens for Jamie Oleksiak.

The Leafs finally made a concrete move to strengthen their blueline. They paid (IMO) a high price to acquire Jake Muzzin. They gave up two very solid prospects and this year's first. So they subtracted nothing from their NHL roster to obtain the 29 year old.

The leafs desperately needed to make this kind of a deal to add some stability. I'm just glad they didn't unload timothy,.sandin, johnsson or kapanen. Hopefully they make a move for Pesche, that would really complete the D.
