His contract pretty much cements his future in Montreal.

good on Vegas to acquire Max but he seems like a wash (immediate term) with them losing Neal.

I’m reading McQuaid to the Blueskirts.
    Confirm? Details?

Mcquaid for Kampfer and a 4th. B's save over $2m immediately.
more to come from the good guys?

D for a D and Krug on the block.

McQuaid/Kampfer are a 6th D at best on this team. Kevan Miller making Mcquaid expendable, might as well save some money and have space for future moves.
i really liked Mcquaid though, he was a good solid player. Slow and stiff but the 1st guy in when someone needed to get involved. wish him well.

Looks like Vegas is in line for Karlsson. They have a shite load of picks they could unload and its all the Sens could hope for, given his one-year rental status.

Add Vegas and the Jets in the WC finals this year.

wtf ? are they now like the Yankees and Red Sox and getting every good player out there via FA or trade ? Jesus man. I'm starting to hate this team and organization and it's year 2 !

$6M cap space and tonnes of picks to offer.

flyers got over $10 mil in open cap space and prospects galore. too bad their GM is cheap as shit and won't trade anyone. i wouldn't mind karlsson in philly. really don't wanna see vegas get him after stealing max for a ham sandwich.

He's perfect for a team that's one player away, he might not return the next season.

i knew that sentence was coming. "one player away" the one luxury hextall has is a logjam of goalie and defensive prospects. he's hesitant to call a lot of them up at once. hell, he will have 3 kids going for 2 jobs in goal for the AHL-Stolarz, Lyons and Hart. On Defense - top 6 are:ghost, prov, gudas, haag, sanheim and morin. andy mac is out 6 weeks. he can call up phil myers if he wants or the kid they got from LA. I think they have 1-2 more defensive guys down in juniors or the AHL too. do they need karlsson? yes and no. you can't just win with all prospects. you need veteran superstars to win - see chicago, la and pitt for that in the last 10 years. i think hextall should look into breaking up all of these draftees for proven veterans. maybe they don't need karlsson, but i would rather have him, than some of the rookies right now to be honest.

Dale Tallon clearly agrees with all this, Catfish. That's why he went out and got... Troy Brouwer? Wait a minute...

EK has an $11M caphit next season, the point is that he won't sign an extension before or during the season, so it's a gamble.

fair enough. i just think it would take a ton of pressure off ghost and prov to mentor those guys instead of those two being the leaders of the defense and having to mentor everyone else.

It would be great if he were to commit to a 7 year deal.

Karlsson traded to San Jose for 4 prospects, a 1st round pick 2019 and a 2nd round pick.
