Ya. I mean they traded away pop.

Sabres did well here. Can’t believe Carolina couldn’t get a 1st from Buffalo considering the Sabres have multiple 1s next year, I think they have 3 2019 1sts.

They get the Sharks 2019 for E. Kane.
They get the Blues 2019 for O'Reilly.
    And they have their own.
Easy to give up the 2d rounder for Skinner.

Hurricanes new owner just wanted Skinner off the books. Ronnie Francis is laughing somewhere.

Yeah, adding Skinner for cheap is a good deal. They don't even have to put up with significant others harassing one another to get the deal done. Good player, not a ton given up, and no drama? Nice.

Is this Carolina purge a precursor to a franchise move? They also ultimately save money by acquiring Hamilton and unloading Lindholm and Hanifin.
    Trade Faulk already.
    Ron Francis is smiling somewhere.

Is it fair to assume that Pacioretty should bring back something similar to what Skinner brought back? MP slightly better stats but he's also 3 years older. both 1 year left before UFA.
and in your opinion(s) it out of the question that Montreal would trade MP to the Broonz?

When is the last time the br00nz and habaneros have been in a direct trade?

Montreal sent defenceman Eric Weinrich to Boston for defenceman Patrick Traverse. Weinrich played 22 games with the Bruins that season, then signed with the Flyers in the off-season. Meanwhile Traverse became a regular part of the Montreal Canadiens for the next two seasons, playing 65 games in 2002-03. By the following season he became an AHL regular and the Canadiens organization.

I remember the Bruins getting swindled acquiring Jeff Hackett back around that time too.
    He just couldn’t hack it.

I don't know - they got a second round pick out of it. That's pretty good.

But yeah, it's a stark picture of ineptitude.

Pacioretty signs a 4 year extension for $28M.

    AAV= $7M

When does Carey Price get dealt?

  14. dlinebass5 M.V.P. Bears

4th round draft pick and a bologna sandwich in return. Montreal didn't ask for the sandwich, but the trade partner just felt bad.

    When? That's less certain.

Nick Suzuki 13th overall, possible Centre.

Suzuki looks to be a player with unders. Overall, I think the Habs did well. I don't know what they expected, but they are behind in their rebuild and with one expensive goalie on a shitty team.
