Any poster here that makes it clear that they're much smarter than the other poster, I have no time for anyway.

 

This is an absurd juxtaposition. You have no idea how well I know Hockeybob, and you have no way of knowing this. Yet it does not stop you from making a claim that asserts that you do.

I'm all for making this about hockey again. But if you choose to make outlandish claims, and if you post personal attacks against me or others, I will exercise my right to respond.

Im not saying this as a 'staff member' or an 'official', but yet I am both... im coming to all of you as a member of the best damn sports forum around and in the spirit of a brotherhood that ive grown very fond of over the last several years.

I really dig all and everyone of you and it pains me and hurts to see these types of conversations. I really wish the non-stop firing of salvos at one another would stop.

We can agree to disagree and we can argue and have heated discussion and I enjoy those convos, but the personal attacks and non-stop verbal abuse of each other is tiring. I wish we could just let shit go, pick up the pieces and move on.

Life is fucking tough... shit happens, but I have a PC that I can sit down with and express my thoughts and feeling with other like-minded peeps and have things in common and purely and simply escape the bullshit that life brings. When the shit is prominent here, it really takes the wind out of my sale. I understand, from time to time, spats happen, such is reality and life... but right now I would give anything for all party's involved to just take a moment and a deep breath and re-group. Lets keep this all in good taste and fun and continue our growth together and our brotherhood alive.

nice post Will. Tim should've posted something similar a week ago on here. same as on other threads that got out of hand. whether who was right or wrong, we all love hockey and have a pretty decent level of respect for each other. we all go back a long ways. sometimes our respect gets skewed and goes off the rails when posts get out of hand and insults and finger pointing come into play. we need to all calm down, relax and treat others the same as the way we want to be treated. some of you are right and some of you are wrong. that doesn't mean we can't be cordial and civil to each other on here in the end.

 

Tim did post and do something about this... its cooled down and all is well now. Tim was well aware of what goes down here, but is forever taking the highroad and letting things work out to a point. I did the same, till I just couldn't sit still... I was also drunk and stupid at the time I posted that. Ive since been back on the wagon, where I hope to stay forever.

Stuff happens, life happens, we all live and learn. Its been a hot/humid Summer and sometimes blood boils... it just happens.

Im not going to digress any further, cooler heads have prevailed. I just wanted to say as a bi-stander, that it kinda messed with my mind when folks I look up too and enjoy were at each others throats. I hope everyone involved continues to partake in conversation here on this site. The scariest aspect of the whole thing was the fear of losing someone to this debacle. The herd is thin enough, lol.
