I'm probably underestimating the value of draft picks... I'm still learning.

FWIW... Heard a report that said Greene didn't get moved because of a bad neck.

Not only the value of draft picks but also value in cap space.

It’s gonna get worse before it gets better Will. Sorry to say.

Probably on a bit of an island with this but I think the Rangers were big winners at the deadline. Gonna be the front runner for the ‘19 1st overall pick but they’ll have money to sign FAs in a couple years and could be back in contention in a few years.

I agree... that's the hurtful part. I suppose what's bugging me too is the slow process. If the Wings were going to dump salary and vets to get younger, why did they wait so long, lol? :wall:

I believe it was the owner. I think he is gonna take all of the positions in the organization on.

I wonder how much money the yotes took on.:notes:
Yotes only pick up about $1.7 million after the 10% discount on Kruger.
Both players are UFA's after 2019.

Carolina will also retain 10% of Kruger’s salary in 2018-19.

Though Kruger carries a $3.08MM cap hit, the actual salary owed to him next season is just $2.3MM. Martinook himself is set to earn $1.8MM, and with the added 10% the two notoriously cheap teams come off spending about the same amount

Not to be outdone, the Panthers will be playing rock-paper-scissors to decide which budding star they give Las Vegas, this year.

rumors are the Flyers and GM Ron Hextall will trade at least one if not both of their first rd picks this year to move up as 3 teams are looking to shed a ton of salary as they are already near the cap limit. Wow, if this could only be proven to be true. I like Brady Tkachuck, but highly doubt any team in the top 5 would be dumb enough to trade the pick for the Flyers 2 picks and one or more of their budding prospects.

ugh. unless Brady Tkachuk is there, that price could be too high. I think the Flyers unload some of their prospects too that won't fit in the Flyers future plans. Some teams need youth badly and the Flyers have tons of it.
