Seems like a light return for a guy that can score a little bit and fill in the top 9. I thought he would get a pair of 4ths or another conditional 2nd. Washington will be picking late, nice pickup for the caps imo.

 

for a pending UFA that seems high?.. rather i should say that the whole market seems high to me, thats just the going rate.

That's good news for BUF & the Oil, and a change from last year. GM TM is catching flack on Sabres boards for asking too much for Stewart, (a 2nd & a good prospect). After the CHI - AZ trade that no longer seems insane. What's TM supposed to do, ask less than what Stew's worth? This is a chess match and he has until Mon. afternoon to make his move.

 

I do not expect this at a deadline deal. Still, I would not be surprised if Stewart were packaged with prospects/picks in a big trade. Buffalo has too many young assets, and if you haven't noticed, the team sucks.
