skinny, Id assume that you must be ecstatic w/ what you guys have in net now. Raycroft, Toskala, giguere, etc... were more than an Achilles heal for years and now you have 2 capable goalies. With Reimer's time in the game he's proven to be a good goalie where as Bernier is still a question mark meaning that he still could prove to be elite. Im not saying that one is better than the other at this point just that theres still a hope that Bernier could be an all-pro goalie where we know Reimer is not.
true. I'm not actually delusional enough to think they're headed back this year. the Cup hangover will get them in the end i think. that and Tuukka playing too many minutes.
Even if they had a good goalie, the team wasn't that good, after the lockout, and especially after sundin retired, and the 5 with the NTC, they took a step back. Looking back now, they should've had more patience with steen and of course in hindsight, they let rask go, but they thought they had a good goalie in justing pogge, and thought they were getting a good return in raycroft. Estatic? They're much better than what we had, but I don't consider them elite, I think they would look a lot better with a better defensive core though.

which is a little absurd. chad johnson has under 2 GAA this year. the system that the Broonz have makes it a little easier on this kid and he SHOULD get more minutes. NeckFace Julien is wasting that kid by running Tuuuuukkkkka out there so much.
The next two games, gunnarsson is overrated. How does liles go from the AHL to getting PP minutes? If you don't think he's good enough to be here for the first 30 games, then why would you put him on the PP? Good scenario I just heard, what if these next two games, the other team gets 28 shots, does phaneuf then get the blame for the way the year's been going, since he's on half the time?
chad johnson is pretty weak. his numbers should fall back down to earth when he gets more ice time. he's only played against the weak teams and on back to back nights. ochocinco makes me very nervous out there. Providence goalie Niklas Svedberg seems like a real good option as Tuukka's back up but they thought another year in the AHL would suit him best i guess. he came in last year as an unknown and dominated the AHL. Tuu many minutes for Tookka.
Matty, I'll be ecstatic when they win the cup again, there's major issues on D, and they aren't as tough in their checking like last year. Yes, the goalies are much better and more stable, but right now, they're just a weak playoff team that gets knocked out in the first round.
