Dubas very disppointed that Matthews never mentioned a thing since May. 26, he found out on twitter. They really wanted to give him the C, so after his 5 years is up he would want to re-sign. Looks like everything is on hold and it might go to JT or Reilly, or maybe nobody.

Bracco sent to the Marlies, I can't see how Babbs justifies Gauthier as being a more productive force. Bracco can skate circles around the goat and can also.give you some production on a dead 4th line.

Leafs had a defenseman Captain for a while , but now Taveres is there, proven, able to handle the media and the spotlight... he gets my vote.

 

After what just transpired with Matthews, JT has got to be the obvious choice.
