Keuchel got lit the fuck up last night by the Rangers.
    4.2 IP, 11 Hits, 9 Earned Runs.

Price 7 IP, 6 Hits, 1 Earned Run.

There was a decent gap but Price now leads the AL in ERA with 2.42. Keuchel has 2.56

For the same amount of games played Price now have played only 3 less innings. Insignificant.

The WHIP is pretty close too 1.09-1.03 for Keuchel.
    212-197 SOs for Price.

Price may very well be the Cy Young favourite and that would mean the Jays get MVP and Cy Young from different player.

That being said I think the AL Cy Young race is a 4-man race between Price, Keuchal, Gray and Archer. If I had to vote now I'd actually have Keuchel at 4 and be stuck with the top 3.

    I hope he comes back.

After today and reviewing my earlier comments my Top Cy Young Candidates in order right now are:

    1. David Price
    2. Dallas Keuchel
    3. Chris Archer
    4. Sonny Gray
    5. Scott Kazmir
    6. Marco Estrada

Sounds good to me, I don't really follow the other players in the league that closely.

    Jays win! Yankees Lose!

4.5 games up in the AL East and 1.5 games back (with tiebreaker) of the AL Lead!

Was going to say Royals lose but the Tigers' manager and closer blew it. Extra Innings.

Great, I think it's safe to say that we've left the yankees in the dust.

Not quite yet. Lose 5 straight and we could easily be BACK half a game since we play the Yankees on the last 3 of this stretch before the final off day.

  11. well, duh. it's what we do.

Skinny you jinxed them with your declaration of eclipsing the Yankees. We haven't won since and they haven't lost.

The first out scared the ever-living shit out of me. If not for his quick reflexes to glove it then Price was going to get hit in the face by that line drive.

Price is always ready to defend himself, you see when he lands after his pitch, always has his hands up.

Win, not sure sanchez and osuna can do the job anymore, I think they have to explore other options like maybe cecil and try maybe buerhle or hawkins or even move osuna there.

Osuna is fine. Sanchez is not though. He has been brutal this past month. Hawkins is going to see more time. He is being rested as a preventative measure for his old bones. He actually was warming up in the pen late in the game but was never called to the mound. Buehrle will surely see some long reliever duties if someone shits the bed early in the playoffs. Buehrle is the odd man out for a 4-man rotation. Price is #1. Dickey is in and he messes peoples swings up for future games. Estrada is #6 in ERA in the AL and Stroman proved his stuff so far. Buehrle gone from rotation and gone from Jays after this year.

Also Price had 7 shutout innings with 2 hits and moves further ahead of Keuchel for the Cy Young. Keuchel had a 7 inning game but more hits and allowed a run. Great but doesn't close the gap.
