He'll get the job in florida, even though he would've been shapiro's gopher, still at $2M a year, that's not bad. He'll relocate down in sunny florida and reunite with his old boss from his day's with the expos, and he'll probably get more money.
Good. It avoids arbitration next year and also leaves a year at the end where he still has arbitration instead of free agency.
That was a number a TSN guy got from a source that Bautista has since denied. Normally players wouldn't even comment but in doing so I would believe that Bautista's proposal is much lower, relatively speaking. It's probably closer to $20M than $30M. Which is still a lot but he's obviously looking to recoup money he missed out on in his current deal.
I think it's close to that. The question is does this linger or does something get done before the season starts.
If they don't want to meet the price then put together a package for some pitching prospects and keep EE, try getting a big bat for half the cost.
Now the news is that he apparently wants more than 5 years $150M. He isn't worth more than that annual worth past the first few years.
I think he did it on purpose but there is ZERO reason to reverse that call. He slid in straight. His arm was out in a natural way. At the end though it looks like he gave a shot to the back leg but come on. There is a chance it was just a "spring action" with the ground that caused that shot to the leg. MLB is a joke.
You know, it's hard to argue that his arm didn't go there and there's a new sliding rule this year. Too bad that such a great start by sanchez went to waste, but wow, the jays have another starter, if he keeps it up then who cares about losing price. Let's hope marco's the same pitcher as last year.
Pat Venditte, name sounds paesanish, from omaha, nebraska, ok forget that, this guy throws with both friggin arms! Wtf, the rule states, you have to let everyone know which arm you're throwing with before you start pitching to the hitter, wow, blow my mind. 7-2 F you yankees he he.
