Hate how all playoffs we kept getting balls called for strikes on the outside on every important at-bat. Revere could have been 3-1 but was 2-2 and forced to chase a bad one. Kinda expected it to end on a call like that.
Josh 0 for 5, revere starts the game with a leadoff doule, pompey steals two bases with none out. You have to cash in the runs, jays are bad at small ball, manufacturing runs, always relying on the long ball. Navarro wasted an out, goins taking first pitch strikes when he should be bunting. Mental errors, jose should be throwing to the 1st baseman on the cain run, basic stuff really. You could point out many things, if it wasn't for the hr's by bautista, they just would've been shutout, which means they really choked when it came down to driving in the runners from scoring position, 0 for 12. It was a good season, but WS not meant to be, maybe homefield really did matter.
And don't forget Ryan "No Offence" Goins not bunting when down a run with 0 outs and runners on 1st and 2nd.
It would've been interesting if devon travis was playing, damn, you put in another .300 hitter in there, could've been the difference.
We lost AA. He refused an extension because he would no longer have final say in anything. Was Shapiro worth it? Anthopoulos hasn't been perfect but he has orchestrated many big deals and helped us through salary hell by trading away many "untradeable contracts". Now hopefully the Jays don't need his type of GM anymore but he wasn't staying on to be what is basically an assistant.
