Breeland was called for grabbing Dez Bryant's shoulder at the 1. It had nothing to do with not turning around you stupid announcers. That's game.
Cowboys DL was great on that last Redskin drive. Huge hit on Cousins, then that guy dropped into coverage and tipped the pass which led to the pick...
After a slow start, a pretty solid game by Dallas. Got the running game going, got Dez involved, D-line made life miserable for Cousins, a couple rookies made nice plays (TD for Ryan Switzer, some good defense shown by Chidobe Awuzie). Playoffs (cue Jim Mora) are still a pipe dream, but otherwise good to see an all-around productive performance.
They kept hope alive, and that’s about the best you can hope for at this point...maybe that win was the catalyst which propels the Cowboys into the playoffs...Or at least keeps them in the conversation. That first quarter was dreadful though, it seemed like every pass route they ran was vertical and it was getting Prescott killed...Both those teams have been ravaged by injuries to their OL and it finally was too much for them. Cousins put up a fight and went down swinging, just wasn’t enough. As Joe said, they’re screwed when he leaves
Just like Washington was in the conversation due to their schedule so are the Cowboys until they lose one or other teams win too much. Dallas doesn't have their 2 biggest games until after Zeke comes back. They must win out though to have any shot.
Agree - I don't think there's any way 9-7 makes it to the dance in the NFC. And either Carolina or Atlanta is going to have to fold pretty badly down the stretch.
Not out of the realm of possibility...Not like either of them have been lights out. The Falcons play the Vikings, Saints twice and Bucs, and they finish the season against the Panthers. Don’t think it’s a huge stretch for them to finish 9-7 or 8-8. Don’t know how the Cowboys fare in tie-breakers with the Falcons though... Panthers play the Saints, Vikings, Packers (possibly Aaron Rodgers first game back), Buccaneers, and finish with the Falcons...9-7 is a possibility there too, especially if Rodgers plays and plays a at high level. Of course one loss from the Cowboys renders all of this moot.
Falcons beat the Cowboys, but I believe they may own the tiebreaker vs the Panthers so if the Panthers, Falcons and Cowboys are all 10-6 then the Cowboys would likely finish ahead.
