They just showed the Phil being announced on the pregame celebration and my wife goes "ew, who is that"? I said its The Phil! She said who is the Phil?
I said only the greatest hot dog eating athlete evar!

 

the Phil is too hard to put in to words. he's like a decade long experience that cant be figured out.

 

The phil is cut from a different cloth, at the end of the day, he's a hell of a skater when he wants to, and, he has a hell of a wrist shot.

Yes, I was hoping they were going to show TEH Phil going to the Taylor street concession to sample some of the tubular meats on a bun.

I think that was the most perfect game I ever saw. Opposing goalie trips over the bench before the game, top 2 Hawks lines play awsum, and Phil struts his stuff.

^^to me halo you put your political affiliation aside for an afternoon and meet the President as he's hosting you and your team! If you think people were happy with Obama for 8 yrs your nuts, but teams, minus Tim Thomas, always went to the White House to visit with them. Now people didn't get their way and their political choice lost to the other side, so what do they do...they boycott going to the White House! brilliant.

 

Gonna pass on bringing politics to this particular board, but the ONLY reason I would ever want to be in the same room with Donnie, would be to get a chance to punch him in that orange ogre face of his. Just as other Americans support a boycott of the NFL, I support others who boycott the POTUS, even Spider Hole Timmy.

 

15 out of 23 pens aren't Americans, I don't see this being a big deal. To be honest, it doesn't matter who's the president, it's all formal bs, they check their day planner and show up on time. They're hockey players, not gonna save the world from the orange catastrophe.

 

I'm not sure if there are any "foreign" NFL fans boycotting. There may be some. I don't know. That's why I was careful to say "others who boycott", and not just "Americans".

They are being used as a prop, like so many groups for so many years. Don't kid yourself.

The sooner this event becomes meaningless the better. Tim Thomas is no better or worse than all the athletes popping up to make a political point...although he may distinguish himself with a superior bunker.
