How do you give up 28 pts and let Landry Jones look like Marino....oh face a Gregg Williams defense smh
We started this draft exercise the year my team had the same record. I'm assuming its brooms for a lot of people tomorrow. Finding a new coach, and a QB that fits that coach is key. To SAS, What coach(es) do you think fit Mayfield better?
Well, if we're taking the positive way of thinking here.................. At least we only tied the record for worst record in a season instead of setting it. Have a safe and happy New Year's everybody. May 2018 bring the Browns some wins (and yes that's plural......with an 's') #DorseySaidHueWasStayingButPleaseFireTheSOBAnyway #BuyColemanSomeStickem
Moot point, unfortunately. Haslam insists Hue is going to be here for a while, that he’ll be a “hero” for the fan base, and that it’s not an option to move on from him. Tough to get excited about 2018 and beyond.
As Sammy already responded, that's a moot point. I think the better question now is, what combination of veteran and rookie QB do they bring in that would share a common playing style? The last time they brought in a veteran QB, his playing style was 180 degrees opposite of everyone else in the QB room. That made it impossible to practise an offensive scheme that would still work when RGIII went down.
The MMQB's Peter King spoke with one veteran NFL scout who firmly stated there is "no way" Browns GM John Dorsey passes on Wyoming redshirt junior QB Josh Allen at No. 1 overall. "This is Wentz reincarnated. Allen’s a perfect Dorsey quarterback. Just watch," the scout said. Wowee. One, anything can happen in the world of football. Two, we are many months away from the NFL draft, with multiple events for Allen and other quarterback prospects to prove themselves. Allen has not accepted a Senior Bowl invitation yet, but it could be on the horizon. Dorsey, and more so Jimmy Haslam, could be chasing their white whale here in terms of missing out on Carson Wentz a few years ago. With that said, Allen and Wentz produced drastically different collegiate careers. But size
Oh, I know. I saw it too. Just saying. That’s a franchise-crippling move. Kizer was a better prospect than Allen and he’s crap.
Unless they expand the season to 18 games. Sorry, just kidding. I feel bad for the Browns. They were close to winning a few times. I was hoping they would get one, just not vs the Steelers.
I hope you guys get Mayfield. He's looking good. I am still on the fence on Mayfield vs Rosen but Rosen is a perfect fit for the Giants if Eli sticks around for a few years. Wait, fuck the Giants.
LA you cant do that stuff in the NFL...run extreme up tempo offense....he will need to play in a pro style offense most of the time....pass
