Save it stopper. We were fucking favored yesterday! This ain't my first rodeo...If I really went into a season just hoping for three wins, I'd want somebody to shoot me in the face... I seriously don't need you to come strolling through with your fuckin "I told ya so's", after every fucking loss, as if you were the only one that saw it coming...Geezus christ! Why don't you worry about your shitty Seminoles, and get off your high horse. We are Browns fans. How much lower can expectations be????
I do not understand why we play our Safeties 25 yards off the line of scrimmage when we are facing Jacoby Brissett. Would we employ the same strategy if we were facing Cody Kessler? I mean WTF? Are we that worried about Brissett going over the top? Is he so dangerous of a deep passer that we play the whole game in what amounts to a prevent defense??? I kind of understood it against Ben and Flacco, but......smh If we are going to continue this approach on defense, can we at least teach our "way too deep" Safeties how to take proper angles to the ball carrier?? Peppers should be embarrassed by how bad he was yesterday...Hell, IMO Gregg Williams should be embarrassed for treating Jacoby Brissett with the same fear and respect normally reserved for the likes of Tom Brady...
I actually "liked" this post stopper.. At this rate, we will be talking about the QB of the future in the 2018 draft by November... Although, and I will let you all roast me... starting now...Kizer is not nearly as bad as you are all making him out to be. He has a nice yards per catch, he is making throws that we may have never seen a QB make in a Browns uniform, albeit on the other side of the coin he is making some REALLY BAD throws to go along with them. Way too many even for a 21 year old rookie. He's still holding the ball way too long which is putting us in longer down situations. His decision making must improve rapidly or he may be helping next year's rookie get ready to start the season. However, of the 7 INTs on the year, 4 of those hit our receivers hands before they were picked off. This receiving corp is bad business for developing a young QB. Not only did they drop 8 freaking balls in a single game, but a QBs confidence level for those players drops exponentially with every ball that hits the ground. This isn't the first game with drops, it's been every game, but this one took it to a new level. EIGHT DROPS??!! Unheard of! If you all want a new QB in 2018, so be it...take him with our presumed #1 overall pick, but the other 4 first and second round picks better be WRs, otherwise, this team is still going no where. The defense still needs upgrades, but we can work on that in 2019, until we get wide receivers that can separate and catch the ball, this team will flounder no matter who the QB is. I still have hope that we can find a group that starts to gel and gains enough confidence. Until then, I may just have to stop coming around here, the name calling is just too much for me. These players are still kids. To call them pieces of shit and worthless and everything else being said...I just can't imagine what is already going through their heads. The only solace is that I am 99% sure none of them would ever come on a message board and read the crap being said about them.

How many good WRs have worn a Browns uniform Joe? We've had Josh Gordon for one lonely season, that's your suspended guy...who else?
This was an unfair comp. Through their first three starts... Weeden: 65 of 115 (56.5%), 677 yards (5.9 YPA), 3 TDs, 6 INTs, 1 fumble, 8 sacks, 60.7 rating Kizer: 57 of 108 (52.8%), 646 yards (6.0 YPA), 3 TDs, 7 INTs, 2 fumbles, 10 sacks, 53.2 rating Weeden > Kizer Meanwhile... Kessler: 75 of 114 (65.8%), 803 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT, 0 fumble, 10 sacks 93.8 rating
I thought it was stupid to let Taylor Gabriel go, so we could keep all our shitty draft pick WR's....
Fun Fact: Kessler played the 10-6 Dolphins, the 9-7 Titans, and the 8-7-1 Redskins in this span. Weeden, the 4-12 Eagles, 10-6 Bengals, and 6-10 Bills. No clue how the season will play out, but Kizer played the Steelers, who just lost to the previously winless Bills, the Ravens - who just got the brakes beat off them by the Jaguars, and the previously winless Colts.
You want the quarterback who's going to give your team the best chance to win games. Kizer costs this team victories.
Taylor Gabriel: 2015 (Cleveland): 48 targets, 28 receptions (58.3% catch rate), 241 yards (8.6 YPR), 0 TDs 2016 (Atlanta): 50 targets, 35 receptions (70.0% catch rate), 579 yards (16.5 YPR), 6 TDs ... it's almost like the quality of QB play impacts that of receivers.
Incorrect. Kessler took a playoff team to overtime and lost because his place kicker missed three field goals. Kessler took a near-playoff team to the fourth quarter and lost due to some questionable referee calls. Kessler took another near-playoff team to the fourth quarter and lost by 2 points. This team gave up on him far too early, despite him showing the most promise of a Browns QB in over a decade.
Seriously? He was targeted almost exactly the same his last year in Cleveland a first full year in Atlanta (48 versus 50). He caught 58.3% of his passes as a Brown and 70.0% as a Falcon.
SAS, you can bang that drum till the end of time. I see what the rest of the world sees, when Kessler is in the game. Nine defenders creep to the line of scrimmage, and the lights go out in Brownstown...There's a reason why he is behind Hogan at this point.
I think we know why he's behind Hogan at this point and it's got nothing to do with his ability to play football. He was never Hue Jackson's guy. He was a front office selection that they put on him. He tried to bury him in 2016, too, and when he was afforded the chance to start and played better than any of Hue's guys (Bob Griffin, McCown, Whitehurst, etc.). Hue buried him again this year to prevent the same thing - getting a shot to start and create a controversy with his hand-picked guy (Kizer).
I'm all for it....I was ready to go there by middle of 2nd quarter yesterday....And it's not a knock on Kiser. I just think he's a little overwhelmed, and he's trying to do too much.
