Define cruel irony: Being an 18 year subscriber to DirecvTV and NFL Ticket purely for the sole purpose of insuring I'll never miss a Browns game. Then waking up this morning and realizing that WBNS 10TV Columbus has pulled their station from DirectV, thus making the Browns vs Steelers game, the only 1pm game that I WON'T be able to watch. It's hard to believe these companies are going to screw everybody in the central Ohio market, but evidently that's the case...smh. UNPHUQING BELIEVABLE!

Browns look like they might have picked a real winner in Kizer. Pretty good first game for the rookie.

  9. Ya but they need a head coach...that guys decision making is awful

Not a bad effort from the Browns at all....Clearly the Steelers have resorted to cheap shot bullshit, but hey, giv 'em credit....They were tougher than us.

I was encouraged by that effort...We made them play dirty, and they beat us at it...We should have brought the brass knuckles for that one...maybe next time. I'm certain the Browns players will remember...

btw...sorry steelers. I'm just an angry browns fan talkin shit, and wondering what the hell it takes. We almost had ya though..TJ Watt, yikes!

I still don't know how they put that wicked spin on the blocked punt to make that bad boy stay in the endzone, but I think that game might have gone our way if that ball simply rolls through for a safety...We are getting closer.

The Browns played a hell of a game. I'm grossly disgusted at the sloppiness and lack of discipline by my team yesterday. A win is a win, but this wasn't an encouraging one going forward. However, it was clear the Browns were not going to roll over this time. We may see them become a real force sooner rather than later.

I am assuming you mean the challenge flag incident?

    (2) things...1) the clock needed to be stopped, 2) whomever relays down whether or not to challenge needs to be MUCH faster. However, I agree, you are burning a timeout there no matter what you decide, so throw the flag. It isn't doing you any good in your pocket at that point.

As for the catch, all I could see is what was on the big screen, they showed some replays, but it was tough to judge inside the stadium. It didn't look like a completed catch. What did you guys think that were able to see more replays? Was it just the fact that since a catch was called, there wasn't enough to overturn it? Or was it flat out a catch?

Since the League is always moving the needle on what is - or isn't - a catch, I can't say with certainty either way. I didn't think it was, but that's also coming from a Browns fan. The announcers thought differently. The ball comes out at the end with 100% certainty.

Hue Jackson had an odd remark during post-game about that situation. The replay folks for the Browns upstairs and Hue's team were conversing and one of the judge came over. Judge asked him, 'you're challenging this, right?' Then Hue related that the judge was convinced they'd get it overturned.

So who knows what's a catch any more.

What was striking to me was the lack of class and professionalism displayed by the Steelers - specifically on defense. Four personal fouls for targeting, a cheap-shot on a QB that if they were wearing any other uniform would have netted a suspension, and this little gem from their QB:

    1. Didn't need analytics to know that Derrick Kindred had himself a game.

    2. Larry Ogunjobi is my guy!

    3. Briean Boddy-Calhoun is a big reason Joe Haden was wearing black and gold on Sunday.
