Sure, the little hundred dollar leagues don't matter so much, but If you are in a big money league, and you aren't the one that took Zeke, you should raise wholly hell with your commish...Then you should write a letter to the real commish (big Roger), and let him know what a phuqfest he made out of fantasy football for everyone... that's all I got..

No, but close, mine are (as you know since you are in the league) David Johnson, Zeke Elliot Doug Martin and Mark Ingram. I think my 4 players to win me the championship will be Johnson, Elliot, Dez Bryant and Matt Ryan.
All I'm saying is, Zeke should have been a top 3 pick in every draft. Instead it turned into a mess. Zeke became some kind of a "wildcard" surrounded by uncertain playing status....I don't like the way the whole thing was handled by the NFL at all. One day he's suspended for the first 6. The next day, he somehow is allowed to play in week one, but then his suspension kicks in for weeks 2-8....The next day, no suspension at all. lol! What a circus...People are gambling on this, and they are changing the rules mid stream...Totally ridiculous. They threw a monkey wrench into fantasy football IMO.
That's exactly my point Lym. Show me a game in Vegas where they change the rules after bets have been made... Every fantasy draft I was involved in, we were all under the impression that Zeke was going to miss games due to a suspension...Now that is not the case. It's bullshit. How long has the NFL had to establish clarity on this situation, one way or the other? They wait until all the millions of people that enjoy fantasy football have already had their drafts, and it was understood that one of the truly premiere players was going to be suspended....Then three days before opening Sunday, they throw us all a major curve. Why couldn't they have resolved this three weeks ago? Changing things up in the final hour just doesn't sit right.
Do you really think the NFL, no I should say Goodell, gives a shit about fantasy football and how his punishment to players will effect fantasy drafts? The NFL, nor Goodell are a part of this gambling operation. They are running a league, the real one not the fantasy one. A whole other business is driving the fantasy portion of it. Now, does the NFL profit from the fantasy side? Absolutely, but it doesn't affect their decisions about league business in any way, except advertising.
The timing has to do with league business more than anything. The first point of business is the Super Bowl...then vacation...then combine...then starting the league year...then the draft...then it's finally back to the day to day. Now, there were investigators working on this in the back ground, but as far as commissioner sifting through and studying it enough to make a ruling, I think the timing came down to off season chain of events. The rest is up to the arbitration and court system. In fact, I believe they forced the arbitrator to make a hasty decision so that it didn't effect the start of the season. The court is a whole other issue, once they felt there was cause, the suspension will be put on hold so that further review can take place. Like we saw with Brady, that can take an entire season, which is why I took the chance on Zeke in 4 of my 5 yearly leagues. Only one did I not draft him in the first two rounds, and the 5th was by mistake..I was running the live draft and I forgot that I wrote him to the side and I was getting food when my pick was coming up and I rushed it and forgot to take him. He was gone before my 3rd round pick came around, even though he did make it to the 3rd round.

For a minute there, I thought he was just a fantasy commish...smh Millions of people watch this game only because of their love for fantasy football...Fantasy football has changed the way America watches the games. People don't even root for teams anymore. They root for individual players. The impact of fantasy sports is staggering. Fantasy football has a massive effect on the bottom line. The 500 different weekly TV and radio shows, dedicated to it should tell ya something... Without the fans, they got nothing. And they pissed off a LOT of fans....I know it's a bulletproof league, and they will survive just fine. I just think when there are that many people wrapped up in these decisions, why not give a shit? all I'm saying is, it all could have easily been avoided with a little better timing...
The only timing fuckup I saw was that the arbitrator missed his first decision deadline (4:00 Tuesday) in order to make the suspension valid in week 1. Once that deadline was missed, the 6 week suspension was put in place starting in week 2. I can't help but think that that delay gave Zeke's lawyers the time they needed to get a court ordered stay of the suspension. You want to blame someone for fucking up your fantasy life, blame the arbitrator who was chosen jointly by the NFL and the NFLPA.
lol! My fantasy life is just fine...I just know that there are a lot of people upset about this. I've already had a couple people tell me that they wish they wouldn't have played this year, and vowed to not play in the future. lol! Do I believe them? No. I'm sure they'll get over it.
TD I too had the incredible misfortune of going up against Hunt. Add to that my top pick" Gronk" didn't show up. Looks like another fine season under way.
lol!I had Gronk too! and just for good measure, I had the Chiefs defense, which got me 3....and if that's not enough, I benched Gillislee and his three scores...smh. Yep. Fantasy football is treating me to the usual chamber of hell...In my defense on Gillislee, I have Demarco Murray, C. McCaffrey and Dalvin Cook...I had to bench somebody...What can ya do?

As the Browns join the military, police and first response men and woman in entering the field today before the game. I will be saying a prayer, for those of you that believe in a higher power, I ask that you pray with me for the unification of our great nation. I will be praying for the minorities and that oppression around the world can get smaller on this day, I will be praying for the men and women that serve our great military and for the men and women that help keep us secure domestically, in the police, fire and medical fields. Finally, I will be saying a special prayer for all those suffering from the past Hurricane Harvey and especially those currently going through the wrath of Hurricane Irma. Then, even if you are at home, stand with me during the playing of our National Anthem to honor and remember those who have fought for and given the ultimate sacrifice so that everyone can live in the greatest nation on earth.
