Don't know from what depths of my mind this crawled back out from, but I was just humming this as I made breakfast for the kids:

Who was that obnoxious Browns fan who was pounding the Kareem Hunt drum around here all off-season?

The good news is the KC/NE game won't be the biggest upset this week:

    Cleveland - 21
    Pittsburgh - 20

Zane Gonzalez kicks the game-winning 53-yard field goal as time expires to give the Browns a 1-0 start.

I will take any score possible that has the Browns at least 1 point ahead when time expires!! That will be awesome!

So.........7 FG's???????????? Or they botch a PAT or 2-Pt attempt along the way?

Yeah, I wasn't gonna say anything, but I too was curious how we kicked a game winning FG and ended with 21 points? What a helluva debut for the rookie kicker! lol!

LOL - 21 was an easier thing to get to before Myles Garrett's injury. I had him recording a safety sack of Roethlisberger.

    How about 23-20?

    7 (7) - DeShone Kizer rushing TD
7 (14) - Jabrill Peppers punt return TD
6 (20) - DeShone Kizer TD pass to Seth DeValve
    3 (23) - Zan Gonzalez game-winning TD

    21 would have been...

+ 3 Zane Gonzalez FG (opening drive)
+ 7 DeShone Kizer rushing TD
+ 6 Jabrill Peppers punt return TD, missed XP
+ 2 Myles Garrett safety sack
    + 3 Zane Gonzalez game-winning FG

I was thinkin 2 tds, 2 (2 point conversions), a safety, and the game winner from 53 yards out....Boom! 21-20 Browns...

I mean, the game-winner definitely has to be from 50+.

And one of those that would have been good from 70.

    That's a given...

As far as last nights game goes. I'm trying to think if I've ever seen a better rookie debut than Kareem Hunt. That was impressive. The only guy I can come up with that was even on par with that would be Anquan Boldin. I knew he went over 200 and had a ton of catches, but I wasn't sure on the scores. Had to look it up. Not quite as good as Hunt's numbers (246 total yards and 3 tds), but still pretty amazing because he was a WR. Boldin had 10 catches for 217 yards and two scores...

In the fantasy league that I'm going against Hunt, I have DeMarco Murray, Christian McCaffrey and Dalvin Cook (sorry SAS), and I'd probably be happy if they combined to equal Hunt's numbers....Unbelievable.

Can anyone think of a better rookie debut? Hopefully, I'll get one with McCaffrey or Cook....not gonna hold my breath.

So......490+ yds (to beat Kosar's single game team record) and 6 TD's (to beat out Sipe, Ryan, and Nelsen) ? And that's not including his 237 yds rushing and another 5 rushing TD's (to tie both of Jim Brown's records - cause he wouldn't want to out-do The Greatest).

I was at Kosar's 490+ game, which was actually a post season battle. Still the greatest game I ever attended. Browns over Jets 23-20 in double OT, January of 87...Kosar rallies the Browns back from 10 down in the final minutes of regulation to force the game into OT. Mark Mosley finally ends it with a FG, after missing 3 times earlier... Coincidently, that 1986 season was the last time the Browns had an undefeated preseason...I'd be okay with making it as far as the AFC Championship game this year....

That game was awesome. First Browns game I ever went to, it was an Xmas gift as my Dad flew me out from California for the game when his neighbor got us tickets. Cold as hell that day. The roughing the QB penalty on Gastineau on 2nd and 24 that helped get us a TD to make it 20-17. The long PI penalty the Jets had against Langhorne (or was it Slaughter?) that set up the tying FG with seconds left. Then Mosley clanged one off the upright in the first OT only to win it for them in the 2nd OT. The Browns never let the Jets past the 50 during OT. That defense was just ferocious late in that game.
