Don't know. Once I saw they had the Browns at #1, I opted not to add to their revenue stream by giving their site 31 more clicks.
Football started for me in probably 1992 - 1993 watching with my Pops. Favorite player was Eric Metcalf. Then they left. I really picked up the game in high school when I started playing, the same year the Browns came back - 1999. So yeah, almost all of my experience is 1999 - present.
Metcalf was my boy as well...that move vs Cincy is still epic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTcL2Lg0RcU
Eric Metcalf was amazing...I remember a game he played out in LA, and the Raiders had no answer for Metcalf all afternoon... Eric torched them for 4 long TD's. They weren't even able to touch him, let alone tackle him. It was an awesome display. He was about as elusive as it gets....I'll never forget the two punt returns he took to the house against Pittsburgh in an epic early 90's battle...
Just watched a highlite clip in which Metcalf was prominately featured. His old man (Terry) wasn't too shabby either. I also picked up on two guys you rarely hear mentioned anymore. Brian Brennan and Felix Wright. Wouldn't mind having those two guys today either.
Brennan was one of my favorites. Little guy (only like 5'9" and 180lbs if I remember) who wasn't afraid of catching that ball over the middle knowing that he was just about to get drilled as soon as he caught it. I can remember more than a few times that he just got slobber-knocked after the ball hit him in the bread basket and him hanging on to it. Guy had Stick-em for hands on those dump off passes over the middle. Think I remember him returning punts now and again too. Scrappy little dude.
Brennan Highlight video. Bernie's pass to Brennan at ~3:40 is just awesome. *DRINK*
Not that we had the best roster, but I'd like to go back to the Sipe and Kosar era's and nab a few more...Of guys that haven't been mentioned, Dave Logan had hands as good as anyone that ever played. Gregg Pruitt would be a nice addition to any backfield, as would Kevin Mack or Ernest Byner...I always liked the grit and style of Webster Slaughter..... Mike Johnson or Chip Banks would have been solid in any D....Joe Delamielleure and Cody Risien had what it takes on the O-line....Yeah, I think we could put together something really solid using players from the "glory days" of my childhood... I'm expecting better from Sashi and Hue...I think we have the makings of a strong young football team that is going to come into it's own right before our eyes this season...In 2018, I expect to be legit AFCN contenders. If Kizer can reach his full potential, make it SB contenders...
Hey there fellow lounge houndz. *HI* Nothing like the awesome power of nature acting as an alarm clock... Spoiler Damn thing kept going off all night... http://earthquaketrack.com/us-mt-lincoln/recent Let's hope that the 2017-2018 Cleveland Browns shake up the NFL just as much *DRINK*
I agree they were a fun bunch to watch. I really do think though that Sashi has the roster headed in the right direction. I just hope that Hue can get the most out of all this talent and turn this team into something exciting to watch week in and week out. I certainly hope that Jackson can get the Browns over that hump that Shittenhispants could never do when it truly came to crunch time.

I'll still have to see the QB play to believe the Browns have a chance to make an impact though. Defense has to get off the field once in awhile, or they'll fold in the second half again from exhaustion. Rok *BYE*
Over on Cleveland.com they've got some position preview articles: TE's : http://www.cleveland.com/browns/ind..._training_camp_149.html#incart_social_feature OL: http://www.cleveland.com/browns/ind...and_browns_training_camp_151.html#incart_2box
The offensive line in Cleveland has my attention. I want to see exactly what they bought in the off-season and what it will do for the overall dynamic of the offense. On paper - it should be something worthy of moving mountains and having a blade and tracks. Something else to monitor will be the development of Crowell. There should be ample space to run and cause damage. If Isaiah appears to be at the same level nearing the end of this season I would expect RB to be somewhat of a priority in the 2017 off-season. I expect Dan Vitale to be a rock solid force as a lead blocker and possible short yardage plunger.
And when you look at it through the magnifying glass of the new Browns it takes on a really interesting spin. Does the analytical model of what they are working towards have the space carved out for a potential deal with Isaiah or was it already decided before they even hit OTAs? This is new and uncharted territory not only for Cleveland but for the NFL in general. If the Browns continue to find success in building their roster by unconventional means will it have a broader impact on player negotiations in general? I find everything that Cleveland is doing from a front office perspective to be captivating. Just looking at Crowell - The motivation is there so we should see the best of what he has to offer.
